my Mg exia with Avanche parts
Tue 2009/11/03 20:31 JST
well after 1 week of work here it's thou i have no ideo how to attach the leg booster and fins of the avalanche any suggestions? and what do people use to scratch build something? i might as well make a huge sword for this kit ^^

see those clear parts on the knee section? if you dindt place those, you could have easily placed the leg avalanche parts on. this is similar to the astraea type f optional parts
never thought of that... will try it asap... tnx!
you wont be able to take those clear plastic parts out now. once theyre in, they cant come out
i know that coz im currently building an exia with spare astraea type f optional parts and i make sure they fit in the socket ( where the clear part goes in) and it goes in fine
ive made enough astraeas and exia's to experiment what works :)
ah now i get what you mean... though the thing is that i've already tried to do what you've just said but the fins are really small about 2/3 the holes size and the holes where the clear parts stays is just to big
on MG series, they can be pulled out since they are being hold by some other parts
yeah mine pop out pretty easily?
you could probably customfit the part to make it fit. but how to do this, ill let you figure it out, since i tend to fit my astraea parts onto ng exia parts. theres bound to be at least 1 person who could fit the knee parts from avalanche onto mg exia
Nice, since you are zengar, why not mod the zankantou to make it longer ^^
btw avalanche parts can fit to MG?
not much since i modded some parts to make them attach to the mg exia w/o breaking any MG parts
remove the clear part & leg filling
add putty, epoxy putty to make leg booster bigger/higher
yep, i think its near impossible to attach that booster without painting it after
as for how to made MG blade fit into avalanche arm armor, cut the hole of armor, make it bigger
DO NOT MAKE YOUR MG BLADE HOLDER SMALLER , i repeat , DO NOT MAKE YOUR MG BLADE HOLDER SMALLER
if you did, then it won;t be able to fit into MG anymore, unable to convert it back to normal
actually i did it one purpose to just attach the left arm guard and leave the right empty coz if i attach the mg blade to the right arm armor of the avalanche it won't be able to hold the gn sword anymore
Where the part do you get that?? i know "avalanche" is 1/144 scale or something..but nice to add in "ignition mode" than mine ^|||^
there's a 1/100 NG avalanche exia just but that thou you have to mod some pieces to make them fit the MG exia. luckily i was able to buy one at dirt cheap price here in the province of bacolod
avalanche only came as ng 1/100
Its a 1/100 kit. I bought this Exia because it had the best look for me.
so how did you attach the backpack that holds the gn swords? i'm currently modding my mg exia with avalanche right now and this is the only one that's puzzling me...
i added small and thin styrene plastic that could be inserted through the tiny gaps found from the clips that hold the gn drive. i gotta question for you did you manage to attached the booster and fin on the legs?
can you show how the styrene sheet look like? and how did that attach or connect to the avalanche backpack? the booster and fin, i'll probably have to mod the avalanche knee to fit the mg exia coz i don't want any parts of the mg exia damage or modded...
this is what a styrene sheet looks like http://www.modelhobbies.co.uk/shop/plus-model-styrene-sheet-03mm-p-7399.html
cant remember exactly how i did it but i do remember that there was suppose to be a peg that could be inserted to the 1/100 NG exia backpack i just cut those of and replaced them with styrene sheets to make them fit the mg exia's backpack
did you glue the styrene sheet with pegs on mg exia's back? that what i would like to know. thanks
i cut off the peg and cleared off any remaining traces of it and cemented the sheets
