Figured I'd share a look at the rather nice Touhou art collection I purchased. It is a collection of original works by CHRONOLOG that focuses mostly on Touhou but has some other ones as well.

Instead of doing a loot post that just shows my what all I bought in my last days here in Japan (for a while), I felt it would be more enjoyable for the reader to actually take a look at what I got in more detail. This helps people who visit Japan to make knowledgable purchases. Being a non-Japanese speaker myself, I highly value reviews of doujin works because I really have no idea what I am buying. Is it a comic book? Is it an art collection? Is it a fanbook? Or is it ero? Unless they have a preview taped to the back (sometimes they do), you really don't know.

This is the front cover featuring Yuyuko. The living stomach. :p

Look for the cover in a doujin store and know that you are getting a quality art collection as you will see. Personally, I bought my copy at K Books in Akihabara which has rearranged the entire store. Very user friendly now, or rather, foreigner friendly. I found EVERYTHING I was looking for. ^_^

This is the back cover. Fitting pairing with Yuyuko. Youmu is similar to Sakuya in that they are both stage 5 bosses and both wield very sharp objects.

Sexy Yuyuko. I rather fancy this artist CHRONOLOGIC's work. Very much bishoujo style. The characters could come right out of a ero game. ^_^

Beautiful!

You may recognize some of this artist's artworks if your familar with Touhou music. Several of his works grace the covers of the cds.

It's rare, but occasionally we get to see some early Touhou 12 artworks. This is the second stage boss and mid boss of the extra stage who has a large umbrella with a huge tongue. ^^;

Kogasa is her name. Stunning picture by the way. Would love a wallpaper version.

This artist must really like Yuyuko and Youmu. :p

No complaints from me. I like them too but I wish I was a bit better at their stages on normal. ^^;

Youmu again.

I've seen this image somewhere before. Maybe a cd cover?

This gorgous picture is of Remilia Scarlet and Sakuya.

An epic picture of Youmu and Yuyuko. Wish I had a scanner but these came out pretty good with my camara I think.

Lolilicious. :p

Now we are getting into a few non-Touhou characters. I believe these might be original characters created by the artist?

Very cute nekomimi. :3

Awe! Chronologic excels at cute.

Wow, she's sauced. :p

On first glance, I thought this was Touhou's Mokou for a second.

Beautiful. ToT

Can see the artist fancies nekomimi on his characters. :3

More cat ears.

Well, I hope you enjoy this preview. If you do go to Japan, and are lost among the thousands of colorful doujins, don't forget to look for the cover of this lovely artbook.

    Watchout, loli-moe will announcing her declaration: "All of your food are belong to me!" XD

    I also want to review my currently arrived Touhou Doujinshi, not an artbook thought. I will post it sometime in the middle of this night (Internet connection in a snail speed now >.<)
