Damashii Delights - Upcoming Bandai Figures
Well, here are some of the upcoming products that will be released by Bandai either at the end of the year or next year. Seeing all this, I can tell you one thing - Bandai's gonna get a ton of my cash.
Seriously, those who deny the sheer quality of the Robot Damashii figures haven't actually seen one in person or held one in their hands. Great accuracy, build quality (rock solid ABS plastic) and good joint system make RD figures stand out from their compatriots. Sadly, they don't seem to be as recognized or appreciated, possibly due to the fact that they are living in Revoltech's shadow. Will get more into the details during future reviews.
To kick things off, here's the RD EVA-02. The figure just oozes awesomeness! Details look superb and the figure looks much more screen accurate. Glad I held off on purchasing the Revoltech version.
Out of all the Macross Frontier RD figures that were announced, Klan's Queadluun-Rea really takes the cake. Not only is the figure good in it's own right, the cockpit hatch can even be opened! Wonderful addition on Bandai's part.
Upcoming RD Code Geass figures include the super epic, much anticipated Gurren SEITEN! Look at those gorgeous wings!
The Shen-Hu will also be released soon.
Bonta-kun!!! Looks like he'll come with a s@#$ton of weapons. Really glad that a Souske head will be included!
Continuing the trend of excellent Arm Slave figures from the FMP! series, we have Falke and Mao and Kruz's custom M9s.
Time for some DX Action!
Aside from the hulking beast known as the DX Chogokin Macross Quarter, we see my most anticipated DX Chogokin figure to date, the VF-27!
Also announced is the DX Chogokin VF-25F Alto custom based on the new movie design. This release includes a special atmospheric flight pack as well.
Last but not least, the Soul of Chogokin SPEC EVA-01 Awakened Version!
Not familiar with the SOC SPEC line? Let's just say that they are the highest quality Evangelion figures that you can get... at only 6000 yen! Amazing!

yep, i dun really like revoltech to, but their line of laggan is interesting, and some other
on non mecha though, they are EXTREMELY not good
I was actually pleased with the revoltech mini Asuka. I also really love their unit 02 from End of Eva movie and their unit 01 with the bulked up armor, F-type I think. And I think I prefer the old Eva designs in general.
Gurren SEITEN is my target! Must save munny!
I don't like the revoltech joints but I couldn't resist their Gurren Lagann figures. I definitely prefer the tamashii figures but they are a bit expensive. I plan on getting the entire Full Metal Panic set (especially Bonta-kun).
FMP set for me.. Looks awesome!!!
the foot joint on the eva looks more stable than the revoltech. I think I will get the eva 02 from robot damashii, and get the eva-01 from revoltech since I like the glossy metal color (I'm slightly disatisfied with the paint quality on the mouth and swords but that can be solved with some touch up).
I still have to get an arbalest before getting the other FMP stuff.

Alright time to start my RD collection with some valkyries.
I can't wait for the RD Eva Series! Unit-02 looks excellent and I'm sure the rest will follow suit.
However I much prefer to look of Revoltech's Awakening Unit-01 to the SOC. I know that the SOC would have better build quality and all that, but aesthetics come first and the Revoltech design hits the mark a little more for me.

Hmmm spoiler warnings here would have been nice. Fansubs for the Evangelion 2.0 movie have not been released yet, >_> and I don't appreciate getting spoiled out of nowhere.
