Dollfie Dream Sasara X Dollfie Dream Sasara
A few days ago I have briefly mentioned in figure.fm that my 2nd Sasara from Volks USA lottery was due to arrive in a few days, well, today is the day. But why do I have a 2nd Sasara? Am I crazy? Madness? Insane? No, I had legitimate reason to do that, well, before Dollfie Dream Gathering announced that they are releasing DDDy body as a standard item that is. And to make a long story short, I am willing to consider putting up my 2nd Sasara up for adoption since there is no strong reason I have to keep her as parts anymore and I would much rather have someone who missed out on their chance to get their own Sasara to become her new parent. And on top of there, a few figure.fm members have exhibited interest in adopting Sasara from me so I am writing this post to offer this chance to everyone to figure.fm and readers of my own blog.
It is my duty to find her a new loving home so I can’t just let her to go to any random family, definitely no to Dollfie Dream Sharks or Dollfie Dream Molester :P
(You may also notice there is also a Dollfie Dream Louise in the package, but she is not for me, I am holding her for a friend I owe a favor to for the next 6 months).
I consulted the current Yahoo Japan Auction for Sasara’s adoption fee and she is still rather expensive to adopt aftermarket
A like new Sasara is going for 125k yen and still going >.>; Let it be known that I have no intention of letting my Sasara go in an auction style. I absolutely hated Dollfie Dream Sharks that lurk around Yahoo Japan Auction and I strongly condemn them, but I can’t condemn them if I turn around and do the same thing as they do, that’s call a hypocrite. I have determined a fixed price of $650 USD before shipping and any applicable insurance. Since the price is fixed, there will be a contest of some sort to help me determine who is the most worthy to become the new parent for Sasara if there are enough people interested in adopting her. The exact date of this contest has not been determined, possibly in about 1.5 months (since a few people have expressed that they needed time to save up money), into the Christmas holiday of 2009.

Yes, I intended to cannibalize her from the start but the reason to do that faded away with Dollfie Dream Gathering.

Lolz.. yeah the plan no longer has any merit to it. I would rather find a new loving home for her instead of ,ummm you know put her in a stew~

Chun is aware of this, I think she is looking for a Yoko head though. She has a different plan now I think.

I would absolutely LOVE to have a DD Sasara (she's my second favorite TH2 character after Tama-nee ^^;) but do not have that kind of coin on me Y_Y oh well...

Cool. I haven't seen my daughter yet, since I live kind of far from my parent's home. But since I'm going back to my parent's place, I finally get to pick her up at the local UPS store. That's very nice of you to put her up to adoption.

would love to adopt her especially for this rare price offering but i is broke XD seriously awesome not taking the route of those auction sharks O_O if you did a reverse auction where the price went lower then i would totally put in a bid! that would surely show those sharks a thing or two... :P

I got to say what I do and do what I say, I hate auction sharks and my conscience can't possibly allow me to go down that path.
Sounds like this could be a real interesting affair Wolf. And that seems a reasonable an fair price to set. Like you said.. Auction sharks are a bite in the backside, and I absolutely agree with you that, setting a stage to find a worthy parent for her, is the best possible way to handle this. about a month and a half. well we'll see where this goes from here shant we ^_^ May the best dollfie parent be found ne?
Well if I were to put her up for adoption, might as well try to make it an interesting event. The pain of not being able to adopt Natsuki on the open web order is obvious, so many of us couldn't even place an order for items they have in shopping cart. It's a small effort in the whole scheme of things and I can't reverse the trend, but that doesn't mean I have to follow the trend I hate.

Gotta stick with your guns on this one and all things Wolf.. I totally agree.. You'd be a total hypocrite if you went and did the same thing as them. And we all know thats not the kind of guy you are. So Bravo, Christmas time is a good time, will make someone a very merry christmas ^_^

Cool idea. It's also nice you're giving people a window of time to prepare in, too. Sasara's not high on my priority list personally, but I wish the best of luck to those of whom she is a high priority girl!
Yes, a few people who have shown interest for her indicated that they need time to save up funding, so she will be staying in the box for now. Aye hope a respectable parent will present himself/herself.
I think that's awesome you're not going to put her up for auction. Very admirable decision especially since you could make some decent money. I probably won't enter since my funds are reserved for Natsuki, who's arriving in January, but I look forward to seeing what kind of contest you come up with.
Well they will charge you for Natsuki tomorrow you know that? You have to fork over the money 2 months in advance, that's how it works for Volks USA lottery.
Oh, I've been lusting after Sasara since she was announced, but unfortunately, I'm lacking the funds to make another adoption so soon. I have my first daughter, Mariko, who I've had for less than three months, and Natsuki on her way as my Christmas present this year. I wish I could enter your contest, though, and I hope she finds a fantastic home X3
There is nothing to stop you from playing the contest :P just to prove yourself, just say that ahead of time and see how good you are ;p

Very reasonable price and it tempts me. Just like seeing school uniform Nemu Asakura for sale for 100,000 yen for the first time, before I left Japan.
It's just that I own 5 Dollfie Dreams now and I feel like owning more then that would be too much. Especially since many of them lack different outfits/accessories. It wasn't even the cost that kept me from Nemu. I've been underway for a while. I could afford her. It's just the guilt of owning too many things but also the guilt of not caring properly for the daughters I do own.
Thanks for giving me some time to think about Sasara. She is a good girl and deserves a good home with someone who is not a speculator but will genuinely care about her.

I try to be as fair as possible, I have forked over the month moons ago after all, just a little interest on the money and handling fee that's all. I do have to drive to put her in the mail, all I am looking for is fair compensation that will offset my lost.
I understand what you mean, a few daughters are my favorites leaving the other being in with less loving and care but it will change soon once I find the proper outfit for them. The Doll Show reminded me that I need to pay more attention to Fate and Nanoha.

Since the quantity is limited to 1, and I wanted to give everyone here a chance, there will be a contest to determine the most suitable parent.
I just wanted to say how wonderful it is that you will be selling her at a reasonable price. I do not want Sasara, but so many people jack the price up for the secondhand market, not just on auctions, but on websites like dollfie world and even forums like the den of angels do it too. Too many people buy limited dolls for the sheer reason of reselling them at a higher price to make a profit from the people who really care about the dolls. It's wonderful that you are not doing the same thing.
It's a shame people still buy the dolls at these outrageous prices, if only they were patient and waiting, they would fall in price so it would be more reasonable. Sadly too many people have more money then sense, so they just grab it right away at the highest price.
You are right on at the heart of the problem. The soaring popularity of Dollfie Dream recently has caused a imbalance in the aftermarket, but we can't blame the sellers alone; the buyers are also at fault for buying at outrageous markup, thus attracting more speculators, it's a vicious cycle. For me, it's not about how much money I am spending on an "absolute term", it's more about the unjustified earning for just holding on to a box while providing no additional value to the goods.
omg wolfheinrich what can I do to have her? Sasara is my dream doll I'm looking for her weverywere but she is too expensive. I'm working like a crazy to find someone who can do me a custom Sasara she is my dream doll and when I lost the lottery I was so depressed. Sasara is my favorite to heart character and I dream of her every n ight of my life. Please tell me what can I do I will do anything ANYTHING to have her I can even pay 1000$ for her. I will love her so much you can not even imagine :)

Quick question, and the answer may affect whether or not I participate in your little 'contest' ^^; If one does win the rights to adopting Sasara-chan from you, will you accept payment options like a deferred monthly payment until the full dowry is reached? Because if that would be the case, I'd love to participate ^o^
Ehh, I would much rather the dowry to be a one time payment but how long do you plan on deferring the payment?
ianno, probably 2 or 3 months, depending on how my fundage looks ^^; 80% of my paycheck goes to bills, so I'm left with around $200-300 a month for food and figures Y_Y
Will see where you are at in December, I can manage a little grace period but I don't plan to send my girl out before dowry is paid in full.

Please let me participate in your contest. I've been always wanting Sasara. In my opinion, she got the nicest angelic face. Once I thought I should get parts and customize my own DD, but the scarcity of materials made me hold back.
