Waiting for Serenity...

Now I've figured out how to buy, I'll use the international page. YAY~
Me and my friend Sam will be raising money together, I started my job today. YAY. He's getting a job next year we hope, and he'll be sending me money so I can put it in a piggy bank, all together. We're buying beautiful Mimi from VOLKS, we're going to name her Serenity, a name we chose together. Since I live in Kent and he lives in Northampton, I'll be visitng him with Serenity frequently. There's also a little spark with me and him, so maybe Serenity will have a secure, loving family to come home to. She will with me anyway, always and forever. He said himself about her clothes "Looks like when I get a job I'm splashing out, my little girl deserves only the best." We'll both buy her clothes, as well as I'll try to make them.
Please comment and chat, I still need to sort out all this dollfie jargon and such. Sayonara~~! xx
P.S: As soon as she arrives home, I'll take pictures~

Mimi is a classic SD, its nice to see you interested in her. So many people only care about Volks limiteds, but their standard models are just as amazing.
I think someone is only too young to own a bjd when they are too imature to care for it properly. I have seen some wonderful young owners, but I have seen many more horror stories because people do not know how to look after them properly.
I would recomend you join the den of angels forums and honestly, read as much as you possibly can. It may not seem important at the time, but bjd do require a lot of care to keep them well.
Thank you for commenting!
I'm very mature and care a lot for my possesions, so there's no worry about that sort of thing.
I tried den of angels but it wouldn't let me join? o-o I have read quite a lot, but I'm still checking! ^^
Do you know if the eyes are in already, or will I have to install them kinda thing?
The problem I'm worrying about is I'm a smoker, so I worried she might smell if I handle her. I never smoke in my bedroom, where I'll keep her, I'm making her a case. ^^' Do you think it'd affect it?
I second Aquilla's advice. You're on the right track though, carefully saving up, so in the meantime you may as well do some reading.
DoA has a moderator approve every account, so there's quite some lag between filling out your info and actually getting to read or post anything.
I think Volks is one of the few companies that installs the eyes prior to shipping; I know I've heard that they use hot glue in both SDs and DDs, so it follows. But if the eyes aren't already in, you can just stick them in with a kneaded eraser or other putty-like substance. When you get your account approved on DoA, check the arrivals/box opening gallery for SD openings and see if the eyes are installed or not.
Ah, brilliant. Thanks for the advice ^^
You're welcome. Yeah, DoA's whole moderator-approval thing isn't as clear in the new site layout as it used to be. ^^; Still, once you're in, it's a very cool place. I practically live in the workshop area; it's fascinating!
Well good luck with having her, it seems like you'll be almost sharing her? I don't think I'd be able to share a DD, I'd want to hog her all to myself haha!
Hehe well yeah, I'll have custody of her though. I offered the father he could care for a son if we ever got them, but he declined because he couldn't sleep in the same room as one ^^'
Ah, congratulations on deciding to adopt ^^
Thank you! ^^
so cute! and 13 and 15 is not too young cus i am around that age and i have an msd myu! congrats on your adoption! ^^
Congrats on your little daughter! Hope she's doing well ^^

That's awsome! How the heck did you afford it though? My goodness @_@
