Custome Tax on Dollfie to USA ?

This might be a stupid question, but I don't know where else to ask. For those that brought Dollfie from Japan to USA, do you have to pay any custom tax for the Doll ???

I'm planning to adopt a daughter, so I would like to know if I need to add in a custom tax budget for her as well XD

Not a stupid question at all. No worries.

I've shipped 3 Dollfie Dreams from inside Japan and have not been charged custom taxes once to the USA. I tagged as gift and even put prices as high as 120,000 yen.

Seem to remember someone mentioning there is no tax on dolls and toys to the USA. Forgot who it was though. Just make sure to tag as gift and put Doll in the item description. ^_^

In the USA, toys and dolls are not taxed at all, no matter what the item value is.

There's no tax on anything labeled a "hobby item" coming into the US. So it doesn't even have to be labeled a gift, which is good because then if the postal service screws up you can make a claim.
