WIP Custom Figmas

Posted by Gemini [www]

Wadup people. I just wanted to share some custom figma projects I have. They're still works in progress and since I use other figmas as materials, it may take me a while to finish them. For instance, the lacus that I made took me months to build since I had to wait for figmas with bare limbs to be made. Some of you might remember seeing a custom lacus before and that's where I got the idea to do mine. I just followed what that person did, but I added the coat. For cheerleader Miku, I painted the hair green and I plan on painting her top silver with matching silver sleeves. I'm thinking of giving her stockings blue stripes to match the skirt and collar.

The bottom picture is the start of my customs for a Claymore Clare and Fate/Stay Night Rider. I did some experiments and test fitments to see how it'll look. I've yet to gather more materials, but I hope I can progress with these.

Since y'all like Lacus I decided to add more pics without her coat on.

Kira? long hair version. I prefer the ponytail with the serious look on her face.

Thanks. Rider may take a while since I don't have a head to use. I have to hunt down some trading figs of her to see if they'll match what I'm looking for.

...where did you get those clear 'blank' figma figures, and how much did they cost you?

I got the Figma Archetype:She from a couple of online stores. I think it's sold out now at those places, but ebay still has some.

Yeah, the "kira" isn't suited for Lacus.

I was actually inspired by your post from last year. I read your blog post about a dozen times, then I went and read the toysdaily post a dozen times, and then I thought "I could do this". A year later and I find myself doing customs. So, thanks a lot Q for helping to inspire me :D.

Thanks! ToysDaily forum does have some nice gems now and then! I'm glad that it inspired you to work on your very own Lacus Clyne!
