eBay: Fauna Max Factory 1/8 PVC Figure

I'm selling my Fauna figure by Max Factory. It seems it's been discontinued and not many retailers have it on stock for reasonable prices. I've decided to offer it as an auction at eBay.

I would like to note that some people contacted me regarding some of the other figures I have on sale at eBay (Kosaka Tamaki Sexy Nurse has been sold, sorry to the fellows who expressed interest on it; the other two Kanu and Soniko figures are now sold too and arrived/on their way to the home of the lucky bidders). They asked about shipping charges and in one case, compared to the price a retailer charged for shipping from Japan, who was selling at eBay as well (I couldn't confirm if the figure was authentic, they provide generic photos from the manufacturer, presumably).

I feel it is in the best interest for me and also potential bidders (and others selling their figures!) to clarify a few things (if you are selling or ever sold collectibles at eBay, this might be useful for you in case you receive similar feedback):

1. USD to EUR exchange rates play a great role in setting shipping charges. 23 EUR for international shipping is extremely reasonable. But the current exchange rates makes that 34.22 USD. It is still a reasonable price to pay for reliable shipping, but some people refuse to accept the fact that this is not in the power of the seller to decide (though he can cut down costs by avoiding insurance and receipt confirmation, at the risk of the buyer). I never had this kind of feedback with other items on sale, but collectibles appealing to younger consumers attracted responses like that. I'm not sure if it is either due to budget, age/experience, or both.
   
2. Don't contact the seller claiming Foo retailer from Foobar country ships for X. The comparison doesn't make any sense since neither you are buying the same item (How do you know the retailer at eBay is selling an authentic figure? Does their shipping include insurance? Any other optional services?). The location, currency and shipping company/courier are different, therefore (and unfortunately) there's no ground for comparison.
   
3. Airmail goes through cargo planes. These cargo planes are either rented (partially or entirely) to one or few different couriers. When you use a privately owned mail company, you are paying extra money for little real value, except in cases where urgent delivery and such services are required. USPS/your state mail service is usually perfectly fine and reliable (at least within Europe, Japan and USA).
   
4. Because of the way airmail works, and how much cargo space is available, all mail services have restrictions and fees proportional to SIZE of the package. A package weighting 1000g of small size and a large one of the same weight wont cost the same. The latter will be charged as if it weighted the amount of the minimal weight applicable to that volume, ergo weight is secondary. If you are in doubt regarding fees for your package, call your post office in advance unless you want to have disappointing surprises there (like charging a shipping and handling fee that is lower than the actual fees you will be charged there).
