It's been a while since I've seen your work (before the server migration), and I must say, the colors on her hair look really neat together.
I would work on improving line quality next. If you don't have photoshop, try using paint.net for inking and drawing with a circular brush.

thanks. I used fireworks 8 to draw her using pencil hard line stroke.
Definitely try using photoshop, hard round brush. Set an image size of 3000 pixels wide by 4500 tall, and start drawing your lines using a hard round brush set to 75% opacity. You'll get some much more sketch-like results with it.
Before coloring, start your base background with a mid-tone color. You'll get better gradient results.
