Astray Pink For The Ladies
Wed 2009/11/11 06:24 JST
supposedly to be an Astray Blue Frame but a tweak of colours makes it an Astray Pink. hopefully not just the ladies but all who love the colour pink would come to love it too. -- alpha

The paint i say,
Very good actually...
color scheme considered nice even..
Oh hello sister! :D http://www.figure.fm/post/en/3281/Astray+Pink+Frame+ver+Gunpla.html
I thought so..
It's time she should has a sister..
oh my!
i finally found my long-lost sister! *hugs*
I must say, this looks very nice. I love the clean paint job, but I feel like panel lines are a bit thick, regardless the sword's paint job is what I love the most, I wish you could have incorporated the metallic color into the astray somehow though. Great job!
thank you for your comment :)
a comment coming from a skilled modeller like yourself means a lot to me
about the panel lines, i'm not sure whether is it due to the flat/matt coat finish applied before the lines are drawn or maybe the camera is way too close... i wonder...
don't worrry, i do have plans to experiment/incorporate metallic colours onto my future models!
Hey alpha, you're welcome. I'm not that skilled of a modeler though... There are an infinitesimal number of modelers better than me. A suggestion, wait 2-3 days until Matte coating because it gives the paint time to dry. Or if you are unable to wait, spray a mist layer first so you don't give the paint in the panel lines room to float. After the mist coat do another, then follow with a wet coat.
now that's a tip i'll always remember
thanks a lot! :)
Female Gundam fan here!Very nice there should be more girly gundams.
Hmm actually after seeing the color scheme for the sword... why don't you just go for Trans-Am color scheme?
What type of paint is that purple part on the sword?
I'm gonna make a wild guess and say it's metallic red on blue parts, making it look purple.
you're so close to getting it my friend :)
here it is: gloss black --> 2-parts super silver + 1-part clear red
by the way, i'm using mr color paints
the intensity of the red is up to individual
i got this feeling most people are going trans-am mode already!
Hehe! Love the pink!
I'll go with Exiled_Gundam--the paint work on the sword would have been a lot better. The pink isn't bad, but it looks a bit too plain and lacks personality on the kit...
nice..go ride a sword.
nice paint job on the astray
the paint of the sword is really nice and way better!
Nice paint job
Nice work. The paintjob looks even and well-done. Yes, I love the pink colour scheme.
The sword has the "trans-am" feel
a big, sincere 'thank you' to everyone who dropped by and for your valuable comments m_O_m
they meant a lot to me :)
Pink, probably the very last on the list of colors I'd ever paint with. Yet very, very well done. I think the thick black lines fit really well.
The only think that irks me is the pose. Seems really unnatural. s
thank you for your comment :)
i do admit that i need to work on poses for i seldom have my models in action poses
guess it's time to sign up for classes at the model agency
your panel lines are perfect! how did you do that?!
thank you for your comment :)
when drawing panel lines i try to keep my sweaty, trembling hands as steady as possible and the pen close to the groove
it's not perfect if you see the real model
of course i screwed up umpteen times and did a lot of cleaning up when i finished drawing the lines
Looks cool on any display cabinet! lovely piece!
thank you for your comment :)
a comment coming from a skilled modeller like yourself means a lot to me
still got a long way to go and lots of things to learn before i reach your level m_O_m
Hey, recently just saw ur gundam show case at the takashimaya..

I love ur painting skill!!=D
thank you for your compliment :)
i'm still improving along the way
