Oissu! Coffeebugg here again.

Yes yes.. updates, I know I owe those who have read my previous post-cum-invitation more detailed info about this humble gathering I have been working on. Alas, Boku Otariiman, and as an otaku salaryman, fending for ones sustainable income takes precedence.

And onto the updates, we, or rather myself and a few comrades, pretty much have ironed out some of the details and for my part what is supposedly the menu of activities. However the 2 more important things are still to be settled which I know bring to your attention.

Venue

Ideally, we were looking into reserving a function room that would be able to accommodate 20-30 people and a small gathering area of sorts wherein we could bring our food to share with. As of this writing, the venues that we were checking out were either booked for the intended dates or are too pricey.

Plan B is to book a restaurant for 20-30 people, even better if they have a function room we could use so as we wouldn't be disturbing and driving other people nuts.

That brings us to our next dilemma. Budget.

Budget

Initially, we were going to ask for a humble donation of $5-7 (Php250-350) to cover the expenses accrued by the organizing party and perhaps even a giveaway of sort.

Now if we were to go to plan B, we estimated that the donation would become more of a contribution of $7-10(Php350-500) each. Which leads me to you, the local folk who intend to join on our humble ruckus.

Know that for Plan A to get into motion, we'll need to find a venue to support the planned activities which I've stated in my previous post. If you have suggestions, let me hear them. The venue must be in either the Makati, Ortigas, Greenhills or Pasig/Mandaluyong area to be accessible to mostly everyone. Allow food and beverages and have some power outlets

Much appreciated, well we need a venue to begin with as I stated up there. got any suggestions? Though I'm just about ready to chuck Plan A and go with Plan B instead where it'll be much more convenient and logistically possible.

yes, that's why I clicked on the Plan B option. it might be much easier to do that. the problem now will be drawing up a short list of establishments because we need to move quickly and get the booking nailed down before we get snowballed in the rush of other groups getting venues for holiday parties.

let me know which establishments you've got your eye on and the rest of the details for the gathering so I can help with maybe making phone calls or something....

Plan B is all covered actually. ^_^ mostly establishments in the Greenhills area. Trying to keep it within the central area that way it'll be easily accessible.

A restaurant huh? At 350 to 500 per person, at least according to the poll, that should get us plenty of munchies for the event.

If in Makati, may I suggest Shinjuku restaurant near Makati Ave? Lutong Macau is also pretty good, their pata tim is tops.

There's always Gloria Maris in Greenhills, but that's too easy a choice. Maybe one the many restaurants along Wilson?

I'd gladly help if the venue is within Ortigas and/or Greenhills area, is there a way for me to contact the host for this Christmas party?
