North American and European release set for March 9th, 2010.

If only there was a PC release, but right now I'll settle for FF13 and Versus on the PS3, and Agito on the PSP.

Just got the email from Squre-Enix about 2 seconds ago ^^ So can't wait. Though it's going to be on the xbx360, which I own...I'll be buying a PS3 and the PS3 version. I gotta play this and be able to watch the FFVII Advent Children Complete bluray ^^
Cool ! Speaking of FFXIII, Ill be getting a Ligtning Edition ps3 to complete to collection. I feel FFXIII only feels right on a sony system. Feels weird playing it on something else haha

Wow that's earlier than I expected, there were some rumors about it coming in June or July but I guess this much better. Btw I heard that the NA ps3 version will only be Eng cause the 360 couldn't support having both languages? Anyone know if this is true
Would seem to be a silly reason for a game not to be multilingual on one platform because of another. After all, Sony could push for having a dual language game and use it as a feature that makes it better than the 360 version.

I have a feeling that may just be a free Premium Theme or Gamer Pics. A recent interview with Square-Enix stated that they weren't sure if they would be making any DLC for the game at all because they didn't want fans to feel that the game disc(s) didn't contain the "complete" game.
That's a lie and you know it. ;)
I've seen several game developers (Square Enix included) include all the content on the game, then later sell unlock codes to gain access to the content (usually a special item or weapon). That way, all the content ships with game disk, but requires some sort of microtransaction to gain access.
A nice piece of DLC though, would be a voice/subtitle pack. One of the Naruto games was released as an English voice over, but Ubisoft eventually released a Japanese voice pack as free DLC. Sometimes I wish that other RPG makers would follow suit. I'd quite like to play Tales of Vesperia with the original Japanese audio.
The practice of paying to unlock content I have already purchased irritates me greatly. Resident Evil 5 is a good example of this. I highyl doubt that you're actually downloading new data that isn't already on the disc when acquiring this content. Someone from Capcom danced around the question of whether or not the content was actually on the disc or not when interviewed by G$tv.com. Also, the whole Vader and Yoda thing annoys me too, I'm not quite as sure if both characters are already on the discs for the 360 and PS3 versions or not, but either way, I'm not going to pay $5 bucks so that I can have both of them. You mentioned Tales of Vesperia, so I'll go ahead and mention something about that as well. There a few bits of ToV "DLC that annoy me as well. The "Level Up" "DLC". There are two level up packs available for download that enable you to level up your party 10 levels per pack. Um... that kinda defeats the purpose of playing the game, doesn't it? There are also a few other DLC packs that give you money and in-game items. Yea... it's not a Korean MMO, so I'd rather not have a cash shop in the game, thanks. Sorry about that rant, just giving my two cents on the matter.

Yea but you know Microsoft did pay a lot of money to get that game for the 360 and to have it released on the same day in NA. Which makes more reason to believe that they want the exact same game and features as the one for PS3.
