Revoltech Eva 00 SP

Posted by SG [www]

It has finally arrived! 7 Eleven limited Revoltech Eva 00 from the movie, Rebuild of Evangelion 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance.

I don't have a set to shoot the figure ^^ So bare with the crazy brightness or what not.

The figure, very nice. minor paint problems here and there for some reason. The knee guard has a paint blob smeared off and, bent. A hair dryer and cold water did the trick luckily :3

Got mine from Japan To Door. Quite expensive.

Yeah, mine was about ¥5000 in all, with sal shipping. Quite expensive for a Revoltech but worth it for an exclusive figure like this I think =) Was it worth it in your opinion?

I had to pay JTD to buy it from 7-Eleven and then pay again to have it shipped to me. That's $41 (£20~22) on top the cost of the Figure. Worth it for a exclusive indeed.

Wowzers! That's quite a lot! Thank you for the currency conversion by the way =D if you have any exclusive figures you want in the future I suggest this guy: http://tokyohunter.blogspot.com/ He's really reliable, and all you need to do is e-mail him!

@Kenshin_07, @Actar, Thanks guys! I'll look at both for sure. I heard of tokyohunter before but never really looked at the stuff he would sell. Goody-Japan sounds good too.

I had a couple of issues with it.
      - Right leg knee guard was bent.
      - Right shoulder had a large nub in the arc section (tucked behind the arm).
      - Right leg knee guard, right side (facing out) has a paint blob missing. Like, as if you touched un-dry paint.
      - Minor paint overuse, chipping or splatted dot.

Eva03's quality is a lot better for some reason. :S

Yeah, the parts that connect the shoulder units to the back are wobbly on mine...

I got that on Eva03's left shoulder binder. (So is both left legs lol)
I'd never thought I had to cut off a large nib from a figure as if it was a gunpla. =_=

Overall, its a very nice figure to display on my desk ^^

Wow, that's harsh o_O My Eva03 was alright actually, it was my first Eva too! Does that hairdryer thing work on bent limbs then? Because I've also noticed one of the legs is more curved than the other on my Eva00...

I do agree, they look great when posed on the desk =)

Which bit of the leg? the guard that is sticking out? If so yeah.

A blow dryer to warm it up. When its warm, the plastic becomes like rubber. Be careful not to over heat it. When warm and rubbery, just hold it in position and dunk it in cold water to harden the plastic.

              Do it carefully.

Yeah, well those knee parts are too curved too, but I mean the entire leg is curved, I'll try it on the knee guards anyways =) thanks for the tip!

                Don't worry, I will =D

There's the clumsy quality of revoltech. Would prefer the detail on the figures to be sharper.

@Kenshin_07, I believe both whole legs is suppose to be slightly curved? Both of my Eva's are the same.

@Actar, HELLO! When you going to do another review?! :3 Yeah, there is always a clumsy version, nothing is perfect. I do prefer a sharper detail figure too, but these are mass produced. Figma quality would be nice though.

i want this one...!! I've got the Eva 1, 2, 3, 5 for 2.0 but I haven't get this one yet. It's not gonna be easy to spot in my country, if i really did it would be with sky high price. About the knee guard, is it the LEFT knee guard which is bent? i highly suspect that it's the problem f the mould, because all my 2.0 evas with knee guard has similar flaw.
