Asuka Langley Shikinami by Kotobukiya~
I did a review for Kotobukiya's "recently" released Asuka Langley Shikinami. I really like the pose and expression Kotobukiya gave to Asuka; she's definitely one of the best Asuka figures in her plugsuit to date.
She retails for 6,800 yen, not too bad for a 1/6 scale figure. And you must check out the EVA02 unit she's sitting on, which doubles as the base. But the quality is a bit "crude" in typical Koto fashion. Otherwise, a really lovely realization of Asuka. At least they got her face right this time. ^^

The base is beautiful. Looks like an EVA02 unit carved out of stone!
I think she looks AMAZING. Kotobukiya did a fantastic job on her. She looks better than the prototype pictures. I will proudly display her next to my Rei & Misato. Great pictures! ^^

I'm planning on getting Rei as well, how does her quality compare to Asuka?
I would say equally good except that Rei's skin-tones are a tone darker. They still look great together IMO.

Honestly, I can't name any other Asuka or Rei figure that match together so perfectly. This is why I'm thankful that Kotobukiya managed to do a great job on them. ^^

AH this is a very nice figure. I just might have to pick up my own. Very nice picks, you covered all the angles and they really did a good job on her hip and the positioning. Very nice.

This is the plugsuit she wears in Evangelion 2.0. I assume you're referring to the Test Plugsuit when you say "new", but that only makes a fairly brief appearance.
I'm so tempted to buy this figure. The price is reasonable for the size and apparent quality...
She's not a bad buy if you're looking for an Asuka figure in her plugsuit.
As for Asuka in her test plugsuit, I'm sure we'll see one soon enough. :)

The scenery and lighting have to be very fitting for it to work. Will think about it when it's not that cold out. :S
