2009 IPMS Vancouver + 2009 November Metropolis C&G competition
Here are some pictures from the Vancouver International Plastic Modeller's Society 2009 Fall show from way back in October, mostly tanks but a few mecha and the 2009 November Metropolis C&G gundam competition. The IPMS was mostly tanks and airplanes with only 2 other gundam models, both were the hguc 1/144 z'gok made very similarly.

got best of category and best of show junior
1/100 IWS Striker
lonely little sd got ignored by even the judges
1st place place, mg gm, he got another free mg for his efforts
3rd place, this guy got a $10 off stamp for his mg rick dias
my hguc 1/144 zudah that i worked on for a month, i got 4th place.
I made a small mod on the shoulder by cutting a layer off, sharpening the spikes and tomahawk, added a hole to the rifle so it wouldn't need the barrel
no prize T_T
2nd place by my colleague,the hguc 1/144 zaku III, he got a free hguc zeong
'Tis not the season yet, it seems everyone is putting up christmas decorations here in vancouver early
this here is an interesting kitbash of seraphim and 00 raiser, strangely enough he used no cement or adhesive, just stuck them together and somehow they stay in place
the final battle scene in 00 second season, with the 0 and exia replaced by reborns and 00 raiser

very nice!, and yeah, gundams get poor showing in my area at contests, most of the time, i'm the only one.. but I atleast hope that me entering gundams, and showing what they can actually turn out like when you paint them gives me hope of more gundams next year!

BTW, 4th place?! You deserve a lot more! I mean look at that peice of work of yours! You took 1 frickin month and got 4th?! Anyways, nice one!
That GM has a CR-WB78RP2 missile pod from the Ac Weapons010... It really looks tacked on it. The GM itself is nice, though.
The Rick Dias and the IWSP Strike look awesome !
