Astray Mirage Frame WIP-Amenohabakiri

Started on my Mirage frame that I received a few days ago :D
Painted it with gundam markers and acrylic paint.
The maroon colour is formed by mixing black and red.. which was quite nice

Same blade as the Astray Red Frame 1/100 NG, I see.
The kanji for this sword here is 菊一文字 (Kiku-ichimonji), which is actually the name for Red Frame's sword (also name for katanas in real life too http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kiku-ichimonji)
Amenohabakiri's kanji should be 天羽々斬. Bandai simply reused this blade from Red Frame without changing the name.

isn't red frame's katana chromed?
So it should be chromed in Mirage Frame too?

Yep it appears that Bandai is cut back the budget on on the blade itself... Was chrome on Red Frame, but white for Mirage Frame -_-;;
