Puchi Death Note
After months of anticipation, Good Smile Company’s first set of Death Note Nendoroid Puchis arrived a few weeks ago. This set actually marks a couple of firsts for me: the first Nendoroids I’ve owned, and the first figures by Good Smile I’ve owned. Nendoroids have proven to be very popular and Good Smile has made quite a reputation for themselves in terms of quality, and with this set it’s not hard to understand either of those things.
It’s been a long time coming and I couldn’t be happier with the set. The poses and facial expressions are great, and the quality is exceptional. Despite the relatively diminutive stature of the puchis (65mm) the detail is astounding, from the text on the cover of the Death Notes to accessories like Misa’s necklace, the long-chained handcuffs and Watari’s glasses. A lot of creativity and care has gone into this set and it would make a great addition to any Death Note or Nendoroid fan’s collection. Case File #02 featuring characters from the latter part of the story was recently announced, and I can’t wait to get my hands on it in January.
These photos were taken with the Lumix GF1. I'm really pleased with the detail that the GF1 was able to capture without a macro lens (I'm using the 14-45mm kit lens) as well as how the lighting turned out. There's nothing overly complex about the set-up, so I'll just let you see for yourself instead of going into any further detail. I hope you like the photos!

Congratulations on your first set of nendroids! These were my first too!
Ah, I agree, quality is great.
I don't think I'll be getting the second case file, as I don't seem to like the other characters
Ah, nice photos, My Sony Cybershot T-200 sucks, poor decision I made last year.
Nice photos here!
I am going to get my hands on these petit series too. :)
question: did you buy these separately or in a box of 12? i want to know the chances of getting all 11 in a box. thanks~!
