I'm sure not going to be able to take advantage of the free EMS shipping cause my dad don't trust paypal sadly D:

You have to buy one of the "holiday sale items" to get the free shipping. I browsed through them and nothing caught my eye.

some things cought my eye, but I only have so much money, and have 2 kits in mind already to get.. so i'm not going to waste the money on things i barly want, or don't want, foregoing the things i do want...
The discounts and free shipping aren't as good as it sounds, unfortunately. Free shipping only applies if you buy one of the special Holiday Countdown items, even then the selection isn't very good and the prices are still high, even with the discount.
Plus, free shipping is only when you pay via a PayPal Billing Agreement, which isn't "just paying by PayPal". Here is what it is: http://hlj.com/specialsale/billingagreement.html#terms
Meh. All that build up and it's just a sale to get rid of certain stock. What a disappointment... not worthy of a countdown at all.
Free shipping does not entirely mean you're actually saving. I learned this the hard way, because they used express shipping, the box has "CUSTOMS CHARGE" written all over it. I ended up paying more for charges, rather than actually paying for the items with SAL. Anyway, there is nothing really interesting and as previously said above, still too expensive.
Well HLJ just wanna milk money from us thats all normal business strategy nothing new, but still very frustrating though
theres only a few things i would want from their election but it means getting sidetracked from what i really want like drossel and mg gunpla
The free shipping is no use to me because the PayPal billing agreement requires your shipping address and billing address to be located in the same country. There are a few figures there I wouldn't mind getting, but I've spent too much this month already, and coupled with the fact that I can't get free shipping it's not really worth it.
Nothing interesting, except Shiki. But I like the other one better so I'll pass.

Even though you get free EMS shipping, customs will still nab it and let you pay in full if they catch it.
Epic fail. What little savings you make on postage would get wipped out on an item you origionally had no intention in buying in the first place. It would of made far more business sense to have simply done a 10% off sale on all existing stock imo. Lord knows they will move way more stock that way.
They should really look at launching a loyalty program.

If only the selection they had was bigger and less expensive. There's nothing that I really want here, if I wanted free shipping for a model kit then I'd have to buy something from the holiday sale which is like paying the EMS =/ sneaky HLJ

knew it was going to be free shipping again, but that darn caveat of buy one of the junk we can't sell, and you don't want, valued at over the amount you would be saving in shipping, to get free shipping! now if you find something interesting on the list, good on you, but most of us.... are saying dang it! and don't want to waste the money...
I mean, 3 gundam titles, and 2 of them are GFF figures, and 1 PG kit! put some 1/144 kits out there you can't sell HLJ! i don't care if its kits made 20 years ago! sheesh....
owell, guess i'll have to pay my shipping, and SAL.... bummer.. plus the 2 kits i want are out of stock right now, so i'm screwed anyways....

My mother told me as I read the description out loud told me this: I have to buy one 1 with shipping fee. Then Buy another 1 and the shipping is free. plain and simple. Look before you leap guys! ^^
You read it wrong.
You buy one item on their sale page and the rest of your order is free shipping.
Remember don't assume thing.

Well, when I saw that I got disappointed, but then I saw the Akiha Shishidou, which I had no intention of buying, but it was 30% off, qualified me for the free shipping, and from the pictures I found online and reviews I really liked it. I ended up getting that and Drossel.
Cool that I got two figures with free shipping (plus one with 30% off...if it wasn't 30% I would never buy it), but...I spent $80 :S Either way...I haven't bought figures (other than figma aeigis I ordered months and months ago) in quite a while now. I'm happy ultimately...I never would have been able to afford Akiha Shishidou without 30% off and free shipping.
Also, I don't have to worry about customs for an $80 order. :)
all the stuff I want are back ordered, or Nov. restock, or out of stock... sigh~
Disappointed "offer" for me and not enough incentive, I think that they're only trying to take advantage of people who can't resist to buy whatever.
No good items, no good prices, I'll pass this time.
