Photo shoot box test ( saber )

Hey guys this was my first try taking a photo with my macro box .... still testing it with lighting as i only had one light source. trying to get the background as white as possible but not washing out the bright parts of the figure.

I chose to do saber maid because i really like this figure, the detail is amazing .... although it sorta dosent look like saber, the actual detailing is amazing ... the ankles have creases for the stockings which is just breath taking, this whole figure is really nice and it turned out quite well in the photo

what do you guys think?

Nice, though you could fiddle with the white balance and also maybe using a low ISO as possible.

I made it awhile back and cant remember what site i got it off but .. its pretty simple process .. what you do is ... get a carboard box ... depending on the size .. is how big your box is gonna be .. ( obviously ) well all you do is .. cut out each side of the box but just windows ... and try to keep the frame still together .. so the box dosent fall apart.

so if you open a box from the lid and lay the lid in your direction .. the bottom of the box should be at the back while the sides will be on the bottom left right and top ... bottom left right and top should be the ones with the windows .. then basically get tracing paper and cover tthe windows ... get a peice of cardbaord ... ( if you want the reflection like in mine ) just get a glossy cardboard ... and lay it down in the box ... and done ...

just add a light from one of the sides of the boxes ... to shine through the tracing paper windows and you should get a nice photo booth

From what I see you only have 1 light source which is from the right side? If you can, you can put a sheet of aluminum foil at the left side (you can just warp the foil on a sheet of a cardboard). This way, you will have reflected light from the left side, making the figure's detail at the left side more visible. You might want to try that ^^

Looks sweet so far man, the diffuse lighting really helps a lot sometimes. Will be cool to see with a few sources.
