A few shots of my new Ayanami Rei doll/figure. :D

Figure details:
Real Action Heroes Evangelion 2.0: Ayanami Rei
Manufacturer: Medicom Toy Corporation
Height: 12 inches
Material: PVC
Producer: Keisuke Sawada

> Img ID#31321 | New tab | Mouseover = load notes.

Quite poseable. Not as much as a Dollfie though. :P

> Img ID#31322 | New tab | Mouseover = load notes.

Her suit, which covers her frame, I believe is made of some kind of synthetic material. Her head and torso are PVC, probably. XD

> Img ID#31323 | New tab | Mouseover = load notes.

Full body shot.

> Img ID#31324 | New tab | Mouseover = load notes.

Close up on the face details.

Hey, I had my Revoltech Rei posed just like #31323 for ages! XD

    Looks like the quality is pretty nice on this Rei. . .Though as I recall RAH figures are a case of you get what you pay for, aren't they? ^^;

NOT as posable as a dollfie?

Most 1/6 scale figures have fantastic posability, and the RAH ones usually have good articulation. I think the posability is limited only because of the plugsuit, not the body itself. Similar problems happen to some RAH/Medicom Kamen Rider figures, and is a known issue with the MGS4 Old Snake and Raiden figures. It's all because of the suit, not the body itself.

Ah, I see. Thanks! I only thought so because I never really handled a Dollfie myself either. XD Haha!

Dollfies are a kind of ball-jointed doll, so while they are posable, they've got a few limits to how far you can pose them (with the basic body). I don't own any, but a friend of mine does. On the other hand, I've been collecting 1/6 scale figures for years--and most of them have great articulation (Except the Hasbro G.I. Joe 12-inch ones, which are toys).

Essentially, I had a look at his Dollfies (Saber Alter and Yuki Nagato) and he had a look at my figures (Military figures, but also Azone Dolls). In terms of overall posability/articulation, the 1/6 ones are better.

Dollfies, however, have a much softer and 'cuter' look. Most 1/6 dolls are Barbie-like, and the 1/6 military figures are meant to be military-looking and wear lots of gear.

Ever since I watched the new Eva movie, I've begun to like Rei alot! Particularly because she has a personality now...

Looking forward to picking up the RAH Asuka! Might get Rei also.

Wow she's really quite amazing. Not usually a fan of dolls with molded hair, but she looks great. If I was a Evangelion fan I'd have to have one.

Wow, love her poses. Too bad they're about half the cost of a standard Dollfie, or I'd consider getting one. DX
