Won't have time to make one anytime soon >.<, but it will be something i will look forward to when i have more free time. I'll have to do more research because it looks quite complex and the materials seem to be of premium quality and may be hard to find. No matter, its good to set myself a project like this.
Oh yeah, your Caliburn is really like a piece of art, id' display mine in a case or something, provided if mine turns out as anywhere near as perfect as yours.
Impressive work.
As for making one, I think, that HIPS (High Impact Polystyrene) should be a good material for this, and casting resin for additional details.
if i can have it smaller (for 1/100 gundam size) i might consider it...
btw, tell your friend, i'm going with his design to custom made my own :D

Awesome looking, but it looks bit too "model" like due to pastel toned colors. Maybe metallic finish would look better?
