Errr, Chogokin Miku ??? Will have to wait and see how she turn out then, cuz if I'm not mistaken, all of the Chogokin line so far have been mech type lol

Technically Miku isn't "organic", but yes all of the chogokins are mecha, including the upcoming drossel. Would be interesting to see a semi-biological being like Miku Chogokin-ed.

@ Varutieru: The joint is probably going to be more hidden than a figma's joint, but it's kinda hard to tell with theses CAD drawings...

@ Aquilla: Chogokin literally means 'super alloy', and is the name for Bandai's line of die-cast action figures. The construction often uses die-cast parts to increase the strength and weight of the toy, but makes it more expensive (wallet bleeding T.T).

@ GREW: Rocket punch was an attack used by the Mazinger-Z (very old super-robot anime), where it shot off the forearm like a ballistic missile, and it would then re-attach to the arm after killing some poor soul. In the left picture, Miku's arm seems to be recreating said attack. It can also be seen in the last panel of the 4-koma below.

my guess is they will add some sort of covering cloth/silicon cloth (those miku arm stocking... i dunno how to say it english)
similar to old evangelion model kit, but reengineer the flaws of it (broken joint inside the cloth can't be fixed without cutting the cloth and breaking it for forever)
and i'm sure the end of the stocking can be replaced by a die cast for rocket punch

and i'm really interested how flexible the hair would be, its reinforced plastic! they already develop tough like plastic but flexible like silicon material?

not a fan of miku, but this the 1st girl figure in chogokin line :D, i'm interested by engineering alone LOL

I'm not sure a mecha Miku would appeal to me. Why is she a mecha? Seems like another way to milk her for more money. I guess the advantage of being a virtual entity is that her abilities are limited only by imagination. It kinda reminded me of the virtual idol craze some years back.

not a mecha, a chogokin, which means any line of figure from bandai that is made by/contain reinforced plastic & iron
they are by far the strongest to hamper with, meaning, it will be the toughest miku figure in the world(literally)

all i care is how they will hide the connecting bolts (most reinforced plastic need bolts to be attached, glue won't be enough) & make the joints look acceptable/match

If it's a chogokin, wouldn't the rocket arm be a little heavy to launch a good distance???

@ moemoekyun!: hope you have an industrial-strength wallet, cuz that thing is gonna be one helluva figma...

@ Yangth: Too heavy? Spring's too weak? Bah! use a gunpowder charge instead! guaranteed to give you bang for your buck! I'm more worried that it might stain the paint...

Oh yeah, Chogokin doesn't mean COMPLETELY die-cast, just some, if not most of the structural components. The rest is normally plastic (POM, ABS, etc.) All-metal would make it more like Hatsune-no-hagane. (Fullmetal Hatsune FTW!)

Tong Fa Leek in that picture... odd... but cute! XD

DEFINITELY A GET! Also considering how much bigger Chogos are compared to Figmas, this is definitely a get.
