Man marries videogame character (From Yahoo!)

I know that I'm just stealing this from Yahoo! but I wanted to show this anyways. A Japanese man married video game character Nene Anegasaki from the DS dating sim game "Love Plus". See video or Yahoo! for more details.

not really lol both parties should be consenting to the marriage, you can't marry an object xD plus there could be problems... what happens when a hardcore fan of that character gets angry and kills him ^_^ just the thought of somebody marrying a 2D girl i like gets on my nerves, and I'm not even a crazy hardcore fan like some people.

he has no authority to do so... therefore, that marriage is illegal... He can believe it himself if he wants, but that means he is living in a sad world...

Im assuming he just wants attention or he has some serious mental issues.

I can understand something along the lines of chobits where there is a physical form and a personality (albeit one that has been programmed). Something like this is a joke though. A dating game does not actually have the capacity to uphold a relationship for obvious reasons.

LOL!!! 2nd life yo!!!! people take that serious. RO people get serious playing that crap that a murder happened between 3 guys in some pvp championship and winning stuff including an mvp card..... and now you got WOW, but thats a different issue altogether. having said that, im glad i play less games and take it far less serious. hell i play quake heaps but i play with a smile which in any game is suppose to be that way. but this being a dating sim game this is just wrong in every way if you take it way to serious, like the guy in the clip

what i believe is that this guy knows full well what he is doing and doing all this stunts is like announcing he's not gonna get married in real life ever

all the Love Plus girls are just too attractive, they have the characteristic of what all man want from a girl. although not physical. just like how a person would cry if their reading a sad novel, love sim games will trigger the emotion of the player too, especially those who never had any luck in life.

i think this is something westerners or lucky fellows or especially women will never understand...

I understand every point you said. But to be blunt on their side, I'd say that women today are so damn overrated. They always wanted the prefect type a.k.a Mr Right. Their standard of Mr. Right would always be hunky and rich with status, aggressive, they prefer the all in one package. They just collect and collect guys like him and my late friend, then they select until they find their Mr. Right but until another one comes along, the cruel cycle continues even if it went to the point having children thus adultery comes in. Those who where collected then rejected may turn into this guy or much more worse than we could imagine. It's very cruel. They're like changing clothes. That's why some guys resort to that for escaping their harsh experience then resulting to that which you've mention.

My my, looks like I went overboard there...

Too right mate. It sounds harsh, but its sadly true. A lot of women (not all mind you) change guys like they do underwear till they find the supposed perfect guy, while not taking into consideration the feelings of the other doods.

and some guys get too emotional, i should know coz i used to be that kinda person back i high school. sometimes you gotta step it up a notch and you as a male would find that ms right. :)

wish it's easy to do that mate. I may never ever had a girl-friend in my life, but that which I mention is the very thing that killed my friend. Resorted to commit suicide if you may. Betrayed by some lowlife woman.

sorry to hear that. im not that best looking guy and i can admit that but ive had at least 5 gfs in my life. to some its easy to be in a relationship while others such as yourself and your mate find it hard. honestly i dont want a relationship just yet as i still want my freedom :)

Agreed. I went out with someone for about a year and now Im single. I feel much better now that I am. I honestly find the single life (right now at least) to be much more comfortable and flexible.

@wolfman-X: Well, I would'nt care about having relationships since I never had any in my life. But it did so much because of what I just mentioned so I felt like I too am in a same situation as my friend is, only alive.

@Senseiji: Yeah, being single is good. Somthing that my stubborn late friend fret so much. On the bright side, atleast I don't need think of being in a relationship so much. ^^
