MG Wing Gundam Zero Custom

My favorite gunpla among my collection given how majestic the angel-like wings look when they are fully extended. A very elegant and graceful model that has become very emblematic among the entire Gundam franchise.
This Master Grade of mine also holds a special place for me, as Gundam Wing was the very first Gundam series I ever came in contact with and I couldn't help but fall in love with the Endless Waltz design and its monstrous Twin Buster Rifle. The fact that it is one excellent unit among the SRW games just helps me to consider this one the best Gundam ever designed.
Decided to give a shot to danny's contest. A Robot Damashii Crossbone Gundam X-2 Custom would be a very nice addition to my shelf ^^

I've done my MG WInf Zero Custom for quite some time now but still haven't apply the dry decals...
*Wing, sorry...
The ones for the shoulder are plain impossible to apply due to the curvature of the surface. Decided to use some spare water slide decals I had from CCA lol. It has a Neo Zeon symbol on the right shoulder and Amuro's insignia on the left...
I got this gundam first hand when I went to Japan. It remains in it's box unbuilt ^^;
Sounds like blasphemy but the only Gundam Series I ever liked was Wing.
Wild Gundam 01 isn't my most favourite, it certainly looks very pretty. I'm more of a Deathscythe fanboy =3

Tho I did enjoy endless waltz due to the revamped designs. Now, let us all do what Treize said and be losers!! o_O
I remember your previous entry! I loved the way you managed to pose that Wing Zero.
it's one of my favorite also...but yet i still didn't get one, because there's always a new gunpla coming every month, so i decided to get the new one before the old one...but yet, by the look how you posing the wing zero make me want it even more :p
Just an advice: if you can, get it. This MG is worth every penny given how beautiful it is.
Awesome suit!! Hmm, I don't think I have a chance anymore compared to that!! lol I still haven't decided if I would get Wing Zero custom as my first PG or just buy it MG and get another PG instead. I've been thinking about that for the last two years... Great model man!
Je thanks. I would advice you to get the MG WZC, as it seems like the PG has way too many issues that are a royal pain in the ass (wings engineering mainly).
Yeah... Get MG instead... Even Dalong recommend against the PG version...

Oh you, beamknight87.... that last pic is a-w-fully familiar, isn't it (like some Hi-Nu and Shin Musha has fought with it)? lol
Not just the elegence of Wing, the fact you can take nice outdoor shoots on the roof is a great advantage to your photos. It's like no Gundam can ever compete with Wing's photos which is taken with blue skies in the background.
Well, we'll have to finally see Z join in a contest himself. XD

i always wanted to get this MG WZC to stand on my desktop, but i always postpone it because of the new releases of gunpla and revoltech out there. being pushing back this MG for years! i read your blog before for a few reviews including the GFF Z plus. I like the background you use :P
As expected of you, BK :D. Clean, sharp, and vivid photos as always. Not to mention your WZC is one of the most impressive job I've seen from you. If I have to nitpick then it would be that legband... adds a bit of a feminine touch to the Gundam xD. I wouldn't mind it if it was Lamia who pilots WZC though...
Je, seems I was right about your entry. I concur too with your opinion, this was the last model I built and therefore, the one that turned out the most decent I think.
Just like you say, this Gundam kinda gives a feminine vibe due to its slim proportions, guess that decal around the leg just accentuates that but hey, it's supposed to go there lol.

This is my favorite Gundam as well, I instantly fell in love with the design. Such a beautiful work of art.
Also one of my favorite Gundam entry so far, based on color decal, detail. Very nice.
Hey, I have a question, were you able to split the fingers for this gundam? When I was trying to build it, I noticed that unlike the recent MG, they're all attached to one swivel joint. Did you paint the blue pieces? I'm having a hard trouble deciding whether to paint it or just topcoat it since i like the color and at the art shop where i go to, that color isn't available.

where did you get the kit? i haven't seen any gundam kits in mexico since 1999 or so, all that i saw were the action figures and HG 1/100 gundam wing at mega comercial mexicana :) and what kind of paints did you use? i love the finish on every color.
