RD stands for Robot Damashii just so everyone knows. Its my birthday today and my twin bro gave me the most unexpected gift I would expect! He got me the 00 Gundam Seven Sword variation so as I patiently wait for the GN Blade III I preordered from the tamashii webshop to come in and for GN Blade II Buster G for the Seven sword to be announced on the Tamashii shop...I will review these two suits!

Obviously I have the 00 1/100 Gunpla with minimal detail since its just a work in progress along with the rest of the 00 lineup I have in the works. As per my previous posting, Its almost finished but I impatiently did this review! So here goes.

I just wanted to compare the Damashii 00 with the Gunpla so that people can decide whether they should get either incarnations since their are so many choices!

Shoryuken!

Look at this dynamic pose! I was shocked that both of them were capable of it!

Articulation

The RD ver has more articulation and balance thanks to the weight of the figure. The Gunpla can't raise his leg any higher then this. Too bad but other awesome poses are possible. The articulation of the arms for both of them are generally the same so I'll put that aside.

Knee bending

The legs of the 00 1/100 aren't very posable and you can't put one of the legs in front of each other like the RD Ver. this is as low as he can go without kneeling and looking even more awkward then he already is in this pose.

In this pic...

The RD Ver is just amazing. It can pose like a PG and not look awkward! This is a 1-up for the RD ver!

Some poses though just can't be pulled off by the RD though. Look at this! This is my opinion though and its probably because its not a close up but no matter what I couldn't get a decent pose of the RD ver in this stance so I just stuck with a comparison!

This pose is just pure win for the 1/100 Ver.

> Img ID#32771 | New tab | Mouseover = load notes.

The best pose of the RD ver. the 1/100 is just trying to grab some glory! What I find notable is that the Buster sword can be held on the RD ver without any sagging!

I ordered 2 GN Sword III's XD and O-raiser a while ago. Seven Sword 00 is pretty nice to have, especially since it's sold out in many places.

As I've said many times before, the Robot Damashii line is a fantastic line of Robot figures that are among the best, if not the best, in my opinion terms of price and quality.

People should really pick up some of the newer ones. The first few installments were not as good, but you'd be surprised by the amount of improvement they have made from the MSIA line.

You're so right. My bro has the Eureka 7 tamashii unit and its nothing to compare to 7 swords. Thats why I got the Guren! Mine still hasn't arrived from Play-Asia though...

I'm not sure but I'll get him something this weekend. I originally intended to give him the SIC Kabuto and Gattack but that'll take a while to get here.
