FigNendo's Ark

Posted by yunamon [www]

After witnessing the incredible transports with some of the meanest security for their Nendoroids and Figmas last week during AFA09, I've decided to expand mine due to the increasing number of the occupants... ^^;

Currently I only have a quad of transports, each capable of carrying only a single Figma or Nendo, with the 4 of them able to dock into the larger carrier... Got a briefcase type plastic carrier in pink... Because I'm obsessed with pink, thank you... ^^;

Mouseover = load notes.

Did some customisations onto the inner side of the carrier, filling them up with bubble wraps... It's a good thing I keep all my bubble wraps from those parcels... ^_^

Mouseover = load notes.

After some cutting and sticking using double sided tapes, the carrier is complete!

Mouseover = load notes.

Nendo took almost all of the upper compartments...

Whilst the Figma took the basement... ^_~

Even with the new carrier, its bunkers are almost full... If the FigNendo grows in number any longer, I'll have to get another one... ^^;

    Oh wow I used to do that with my Warhammer 40k models. Not a bad idea for mass transportation of nendoroids. Hmm when I used my carrier for Warhammer, I found that if you didn;t fill the left over space with something (I suggest something soft like a sponge), the pieces would bounce and causing damage, denting or even scratches. For nendoroids it seems fine cause they are small parts. For figmas it seems less advisable though. Not sure, might think of a way or experiment.

    I found that tupperware boxes (with the figmas just fitting perfectly) inside filled with bubble wrap or sponge did the trick so that way they wouldn't move around alot when being transported.

    Nice carrier! I definitely need something to carry my FigNendo accessories in too. The box won't last forever...

    Well that's some insane protection, but I don't blame you, I wouldn't want anything to happen to my parts either!

    Well, the bubble wraps on the base are a good idea, but why only on the bottom if you can also do the sides? the sides can also cause some damge you know~
