This one is probably more for the ladies of figure.fm, but I think everyone can like Pandora Hearts :3 Anyhow, the Pandora Hearts ~odds and ends~ Art Book is one of the best art books I've bought all year. For starters, it's huge with 168 pages and that's pretty much all illustrations.

The art work is all by Jun Mochizuki, so if you're expecting anime stuff, it's not in this book. There's an anime guide out though if that's what you're looking for.

The book comes in a slip case as you see above. You remove that case, and underneath is the real cover.

This is the cover, a new illustration done for the book.

Someone has to wear a Santa Suit in every art book. It's the law.

I have a longer review with perhaps too many pictures on my site.

One of the cool things this book has are page cut-outs. If you look through in one direction, you see a portion of the picture on the next page, and it's just aesthetically really well done.

Here's the picture you were peeking through at in the one above.

I always think this style of art book, and the drawings tend to appeal more to girls. But I don't know why. It's a bad stereotype, but it's not like you ever see any kind of hentai art done in this water-color, soft style.

There are actually a couple of pictures that aren't from Pandora Hearts, but it's very few and most of it is Crimson Shell. But I really liked this one Tales of the Abyss illustration, which is also included.

So, do you have art books in your collection that defy your gender stereotype? If you're a guy, would you buy this book?

I wouldn't have bought this book but it is indeed beautiful, the cover and colours are brilliantly done.
