November Loot

Posted by ggem

This probably my biggest month this year, which is a bit surprising since I didn't go to a convention or Japan. I had my regular pre-orders for shows I am currently watching but unfortunately a friend of mine was in Japan for a few weeks and I gave her my want list for some older shows and unfortunately she found a lot of the stuff. This was really bad for my wallet because it was a unforeseen expense, but a lot of these are harder to get here in the US so I can't regret it.

I guess it's the season to be giving...to oneself?... ^^;;

I'm a huge Macross F fan so I was happy that it was on the cover for a lot of the mags that I usually get (probably because the movie came out this month). The Newtype Voice came with a shitajiki of the 3 main seiyuu and the Animage came with a Megahouse charm

A lot of these my friend sent to me from Japan and they were pretty cheap...but shipping totally killed...

Couldn't resist getting the mahjong set since it was 50% off in amiami and it was also my excuse to try out their store. Now I just need to learn how to play.

Even with 2 boxes of the K-on! PPP I couldn't get a complete set. If anyone has extras and wants to trade let me know /// With this I'm finally complete with all my Lucky Star figma. I was pretty late with the whole Lucky Star and Figma thing so it's been really hard backtracking trying to find the older releases.

      These were released quite a while ago..I believe around 2001...but I was a poor student then so no way I could afford it, especially at 9000 yen a piece...

      But a friend found them for about 4000 yen a piece in Japan

      Not all of it was shipped by my friend. A lot of the stuff I ordered from stores like HLJ etc, so I could use SAL. But the stuff she did send was by EMS..and it was about 9600 yen...

    Wow, nice haul my friend!

    I'm surprised you managed to get the Haruhi cosplay Konata figma still. I got mine when I went to Akihabara back in May 2008 and even then it wasn't so easy to find. It's great I see you got some of those special flavour Kit-Kat's too lol. I brought back some myself including the Green Tea flavour which literally was green in colour XD

      my friend was able to find the haruhi cosplay konata figma in some store in akiba for $45. i think this was a good price, rite? but yea tracking down all these older figma releases is pretty hard. i still want the makina figma but it's just impossible to find.

      yes i love the special flavor kitkats! i wish they would import more flavors here in the US. My local Japanese market gets some on occasion but never the more "interesting" flavors. The ones pictured above are: green tea, vegetable, ginger ale, kinako and corn (which was surprisingly very good and my new favorite flavor!)
