Gathering: For the Love of Nendoroid & Figma
For all of you who coincidently at Jakarta Indonesia at 5 December, feel free to join this mini gathering.
I found some DC/figure.fm member are from the same country and city like mine, so I guess this is a best way to announce this event.
At 5 December 2009, there will be a end year Toys Fair in STC Senayan/Senayan City. I want to make a mini gathering for Nendoroid and Figma lover.
Since I don't have booth during the event, so we might using empty space of the Toys Fair area, sit down on the floor, and start spawning our Nendoroids and Figmas.
We also will do some crazy weird photo shoots (I hope :D), and talking about random stuff until the security guard cast us away because causing so much noise and spreading the "Nendoroid and Figma poison" to the visitors, hahahaha...
So here are the detail:
Time:
5 December at Toys Fair area
13:00 till afternoon, local time
Things to carry:
1. Nendoroid & Figma
2. Camera (don't care what brand and type, as long as can recording image :D)
3. Food & Drink (for you who want to save some money to hunt collections, because ransom at Senayan is so pricy)
Be sure you bring the most portable ransom you got, because if we end up using the food court, I don't think the food seller will be happy seeing us carrying our own food, hehehehe
4. Some money (to buy some stuff, and of course, for some collection)
5. Friend (we need to poison your friend with the cuteness of Nendoroid, you know)
6. Name card
7. Other things I forgot :P
Gathering schedule (still on planning):
1. Introduce yourself (your name, job (if any) etc)
2. Name card trading
3. Tell your story of how you get poisoned by the Nendoroid or Figma at the first time.
4. Photo shoots (expecting weird, crazy, and random result)
5. Anyone can share some idea here?

Well, um.. yeah, In the positive meaning :D
Anyway, unlike the people in figure.fm, Nendoroid and Figma collector who active in our local forum tend to just talking without showing or bringing out their collection. While in this site, people are love to take the photos of their Nendoroid and Figmas (or other collection).
Like most of you already know, some people just piling up their Nendoroids and Figmas and never taking them out of the box. I understand the reason behind that. But for me, if I buy something, I want to use it, play it, etc. I want to make sure my money worth by doing that :D
The point is, I want to encouraging people to take their collection out, have a photo shoots, showing to other people, make friend, etc.

If you find Toys/Anime related event, do the same thing. Invite people at your local forum to do a mini gath :)
This will encourage other people to start doing other gathering on a different place :D
I agree! Every time I see these posts, I wish desperately we had meet-ups like this in the US ;3;
