Japanese Break Up Service!

Break Up Service!

Are you unsatisfied with your current love life? have you found out your lover has cheated on you? are you disappointed or embarrassed to be with them anymore? Avoid those messy, dangerous break up conversations! Have a clean slate without the heartache! Akira's Break Up Service is ready to serve you, any day at any time!

Ok jokes aside, this is an excellent Adidas advertisement by Kosai Sekine (for those who want to look him up) about a guy who offers breaking up with your lover in your place... and thus take all the crap that happens right afterwards. Boy, talk about avoiding the issue lol! (might be good to deal with those yanderes though...)

It's also interesting to me because the song used for it is called "Perro Amor Explota" (a completely awesome song) of La Bersuit Vergarabat, a great Argentine group, so this advertisement is like a mixture of cultures I've assimilated during my life (and entertaining to boot!). Quite delightful to see cultures I can relate to (and enjoy) mixing like this. I usually don't see much South American flavor in anime; the only one I can recall is Chad from Bleach...

Credits for everything go to Ariel Lombardi from the awesome blog http://www.ivreality.com.ar
Picture found in Danbooru, I just edited the text for my convenience.

Ahahahaha! That's freaking funny, especially at the end XD I guess he becomes an expert after doing it several times! How many hoodies does he have, I wonder...

I guess I didn't really notice the song much since he had a lot of dialogue and subs, but I noticed it at the end and sounded good :)

My guess is that he's paid well enough he can have a full room of hoodies XD

I didn't either, just that it was in Spanish. Since I grew up listening to Argentinian groups/singers I take them for granted. I don't even try to get the CDs of songs I like as I would with an anime song ^^U

It's a nice example about originality not being dead yet ^^

Hahahaha I'm not that much into clothes (if it fits, it's nice and cheap then go for it) but I do admit paying for the good stuff has its merits (the quality speaks for its price)

I think this story is interesting because of its shortness. We know the gist of it and the result of having to lead that kind of life. If it was a TV series the jokes would get old fast and it'd not be as funny. Then again a short series would be interesting as long as it was well executed ^^

LOL! It actually seems like a very good business idea. Although, finding the right employees might be a little tough. I enjoyed the CM nonetheless.

With a bit of research I'm sure they could've come up with Japanese music that fit the video too, but yeah I like the fact they're incorporating other stuff from other countries too (besides English/American)
