Macross Frontier: Galaxy Tour Final in Budokan...on blu-ray!!!

Well, I finally got my Galaxy Tour blu-ray yesterday! I quickly popped it into my PS3 to watch it. I had high hopes for this concert...but in the end, I left only partly satisfied.
It starts off nicely; With the Captain of the Macross Quarter pumping up the fans. Then May'N and Megumi appear and begin to sing. The first half is very energetic. Everyone is into it; using their glowstick thingies in unison :P Megumi dancing is fun and kid-like (?), while May'N is more on the adult side (I don't know how else to describe it, hehe). I didn't like the fast-paced medley at the beginning, but I did like the part when the voice actors of Alto, Michele (or however you spell it), and Bobby came on stage to do that cute commercial thing with Megumi.
The second half of the concert was reserved for the ballads of the series. I thought this part slowed things down TOO much. I became restless, and began to fast-forward through bits. I think they should have mixed things up between the fast and slow songs. But I did enjoy the medley at the end. It was that Nyan Nyan service medley, I believe? It sounded much better than the one they did at the beginning of the show.
After this was the encore stuff. "Lion" was performed during this part. I don't think the song was done during the regular portion (only in the medleys).
I liked May'N in the concert. She seemed right at home on stage, and brought a lot of energy to the show. Megumi, on the other hand, seemed scared and stiff at times. I noticed her looking around while singing...like she was worried or something. She just didn't seem as comfortable on stage as May"N was. I think she did better when May'N was with her on stage, though. Oh yeah, Megumi's dancing kinda reminded me of Moriguchi Hiroko...I don't know why, hahaa!! I used to watch Hiroko on "Yume Ga MoriMori", and I think some of her dance moves looked like the ones Megumi was doing?
So overall, I thought the show was good. It could have been paced a little better....maybe throw in a few more laser lights or something....ah...I liked the instrumental stuff in the concert....forgot to mention that. Oh, and does anyone think Yoko Kanno looks like that girl on Final Fantasy VIII? I can't remember the name of the character, but she has a yellow outfit, I believe. Can anyone help me out on this?

Sadly, I'm one of the few who has yet to embrace HD. Don't have a HDTV yet, nor a Blu-Ray player.
But, more on topic, the concert looked like a blast! Really want to watch it now. I wonder if the Lucky Star Concert is on DVD.
I think the Lucky Star concert comes out this Christmas Day (give or take a few days).
meee too wanna that (oh first must buy BR player)
Concert was pretty good, considering Megumi just launched her career as a singer/voice actress and as for May'n she's been doing it for years...still a great concert tho.
The FF8 chara that Yoko Kanno looks like is Selphie.
Ah, that's right about Megumi. Forgot she's still a rookie, hehe. And thanks for the Final Fantasy help. I knew she looked familiar!
Yeah well she'll get it right...and quite honestly...she's like built...i mean the muscles and all...she's huge compared to May'n LOL...
As for FF8, well I hate to admit it but t'was my first FF game so meh...
Might just get this one.
is the blu ray version 1080P ??
