Preparing for JLPT this Sunday
Man, that earlier shimapan post is so distracting, I can't help but stare at the picture all day long!! There goes 16 hours worth of study time...
*ahem* Anyway, the pressure is on as the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT, or Nouryoku Shiken) is around the corner. This Sunday, to be exact. I'm taking Level 2 this time.
My school in Tokyo has been giving JLPT mock exams and practices one day after another, and thanks to that (sono okage de, grammar level 2 lol) I've been doing well in those. Still, can't let my guard down. The coming test will probably be harder than the ones before.
Failing to prepare is like preparing to fail, or something like that :P
Here's a little preview of my horribly messy notes. The cliff notes of cliff notes.

First, grammar. Not too worried about this, I'm sure you know some of them from your favourite manga or anime! I just need to remember the ones that are hardly used in everyday conversation. This and the listening section are my strengths, or so my Sensei says *blush*

Oh god, vocab. This is the killer for me. I've read a bunch of mangas and watched a lot of anime on tv in my life, but I only have a 256 MB RAM brain. So I can only take in adverbs, adjectives and a bunch of verbs. _orz <-- also my praying pose, God help me!
Sensei told me that you should divide the adjectives to positive and negative, so that you can already feel whether it's wonderful or horrible at first glance. Then from there, try to remember its meaning.

Arrrrrggggggghhhh, kanji!!! Luckily, only 1 mark is awarded per question for the Kanji question, compared to 2 marks/question for vocab. Thanks to the school, all those Kanji drills throughout the year really paid off!

The moonlight seeping into my bedroom window is beckoning me to sleep. Can you spot the Kagamiku figma and Aria Company diorama? :)
To those who are taking the JLPT exams, no matter where you are, all the best! Ganbarou ze!

Good luck on the JLPT! ^^
I seriously need to pick up on studying extra for Japanese class as I've been falling behind due to work. Plus I'm plagued by not having any RAM at all, I just have NAM, No Access Memory. >_<
I took my level 2 JLPT a few years ago.
But I failed level 1 JLPT. That thing was a monster!! I'll have to go back in studying Japanese again and challenge again. Good luck on the exam!! (>_<)
Lucky you, I wish that I would be in your position that way I'd know some japanese! (^_-)☆ Hopefully this will change during my gap year, when I have some time to study extra things.
Good luck on the exam!
good luck ^^
Good luck! I thought about taking JLPT 3 this year but it was that same time as finals so I didn't think I could take the time to do it. But if you are doing well on the practice exams, I think you'll pass.
JLPT 2 was pretty tough for me. Its times like those that having a cyber brain would help immensely :] Also, talking to people that are far away from you sounds awesome haha. Good luck ! Im sure youll do well since you studied quite a bit.
kanji will slaughter me. But tis ok, i am actually prepared to fail :D
hope u pass your level =)
does RAM improve your processing speed, not your storage capacity? lol
taking 2 this year also. haven't studied much wwwwwwww
i beg to differ.
RAM is the temp space for stuff which are running to utilize.
I'm taking Level 3 this Sunday, but I'm still doing last minute revision - I'm not sure that I could pass or not LOL. Gambarimasu!!! ^^
Hitting on JLPT 4 this year! Minna Ganbatte!
Good luck! I havent taken any JLPT test yet, although my japanese teacher said I should have the level to take the first one... but the location is far and exams make me too nervous.
Good luck to you looks like you r working hard! ^^
One of the keys to doing well is using a pen that doesn't blot, doesn't gives an indefinite line and is fine enough to allow good readability of the characters.
The one you're using looks a little bit too thick for my liking.
Best of Luck!
Thanks everyone for the tips and good luck!
And all the best to those taking it too... ganbarou!
was the diorama self built or the model set?
