Destiny To The EXTREME XD
Like the title says or hints out, its about the Destiny Extreme Blast Mode i got today and was dying to build it. I repainted the black to gloss black, the red to metallic red and the blue to metallic blue. Im not sure if i should do anything to the grey but i have a few questions. How do I make the Strike freedom's hands and joints shiny gold like and i mean shiny like destiny's joints and hands. And one more thing...Is the 00 Raiser PG a recommended buy? I was actually hesitating to buy the destiny because i wanted to save up for the 00 Raiser but now im not so sure if i should get that too =/ Well anyways enjoy the pictures =D

For the Strike Freedom, applying a coat of clear yellow really makes it shinier. Just be sure to add some topcoat on the frame before reassembling it, or the paint'll come off whenever you pose it.
About the 00 Raiser...Surprisingly, the HG 00 Raiser+GN Sword III is better in terms of poseability and proportions. PG 00 Raiser is just more parts and less panel lining.
like no. PG has helluva articulation points the HG 00 cant even dream off. theres also like 3 leds, with the GN drives led having the spinning feature and stuff. the PG 00 joints are also have clutch locks, the newest feature in the PG series so that there will be no poseability issues. checkout dalong.net for info
But the PG can't do the splits and keep its keep flat on the ground. There's a lock on the ankle stopping it from doing so.
While I understand the PG has better arm movement, the rest is virtually the same.
It can't do full leg splits but does anyone actually going to care enough about that when they won't display in that pose?

It's the thought that matters? Not quite sure, I'm just one of those kitbashers who find those kind of joints quite useful.
From what I've seen, the PG is good, but If it were my money, I'd get something else instead. 250ish dollars for a PG thats nothing but a scaled up MG (really lacks the famous PG detail) is a bit much for me.
Well, the pg 00 raiser in canada is like around 400 where im getting it from, its either that, or more mg gundams. So far i have 00 raiser hg 1/100, reborns gundam 1/144, mg strike noir, mg exia, mg destiny and strike freedom,mg unicorn and sinanju and mg rx-78-2 ver.2.0. Im trying to make diorama's for like some of the gundam fights that have happened and i want some ideas.
From what you've mentioned MG Destiny VS MG Strike Freedom Diorama is the way to go. I also have both kits unfortunately for me the wing mechanism for the Strike Freedom broke :( It chewed itself out :( been trying to find a fix but I might have to buy a new one. BTW I've posted several times but out of 5 only 1 got through to the Gundam Category :( Is there some sort of approval process before a post gets in here? Or am I missing sumthing?
O damn i have the same issue, one of the wings wont connect to the other which sucks n its soo loose and its the normal mg, not the full burst mode. Im thinking of just buying the full burst mode strike freedom and keeping this one for any extra parts for custom works in the future. If ur using safari itl take a while, i was trying to post more pics just now, but i switched to mozilla n it worked perfectly
Yeah Mines the Regular MG Strike Freedom too. I was thinking of getting the full burst too ^_^ My destiny's the regular one also,which I am now regretting after seeing your destiny with the Wings Of Light effect parts ^_^
yeah the wings of light loook AWESOME. u shud definately get it :) It worth the extra money. Im trying to find a match up with all my MGs. So far i hav 2 mathc ups, unicorn vs sinanju and s.f. vs destiny

Not really a fan of Gundam Seed thats why I only have Gundam Blitz 1/144. Just buy other MGs... Altho the PG Raiser is good... It could have been better.
Agreed. I was expecting more out the PG Raiser. Especially at that price tag. For my money, Id rather get the PG GP01 or Red Frame. Still though, to the OP: Nice build! I cant wait to get my hands on an extreme burst MG Destiny :]
MG Exia Ignition Mode would be the Gundam i look forward to buy...
My MG SF's wing connectors that allow the DRAGOON holders to spread out a bit more also got worn out, so I just super-glued them together, making sure not to freeze either to the wing holder. Now, it works perfectly. If only I could say the same for the rest of the gundam (leg peg broke T.T)...
