Bizarre JLPT Level 1 Listening Question

I am not making this up.

Apparently, today's JLPT Level 1 Listening contained this question:

Man 1: Captain, our second line of defences have been penetrated! The monster is heading straight for the Central Command Centre.

Man 2: At this rate, we won't even last 30 minutes.

Captain: Which Model Fighters can be deployed right now?

Man 1: Just Unit 00.

Captain: Looks like we have no choice but to deplot Unit 04 as well.

Man 2: Testing for Unit 04 is still not completed yet. Besides, we don't have anyone capable of piloting it.

Captain: Unit 00 won't be able to stop that thing. So I will personally pilot Unit 04.

Man 1: You're going yourself!? But Captain, you won't be able to withstand Unit 04's acceleration with that injury!

Woman: I will go!

Captain: Asuka!

Asuka: I will be able to control Unit 04. So please, let me go!

Captain: But you're still a trainee. Now's not the time for kids to show off their skills.

Asuka: Now's not the time to argue about this! (Runs off)

Captain: Hey, Asuka! Wait!

Computer announcer: Unit 04 is now ready for launch.

Captain: Asuka, we're counting on you.

Please choose the right answer:

1. The Captain deployed on Unit 00.
2. The Captain deployed on Unit 04.
3. The woman (Asuka) deployed on Unit 00.
4. The woman deployed on Unit 04.

From the conversation, the correct answer would be 4, though I'm sure everyone must be thinking "Isn't Asuka the pilot of Unit 02!?"

Either that, or my mind must still be fresh after having watched the second Rebuild of Evangelion movie yesterday.

Now why did I decide to wait till next year to take my Level 1 exams?

PS For some reason, I just felt the Captain will end his sentence with "For Great Justice". lol

Haha, yeah! Who'd've thunk? But now we all have a reasonable excuse for our parents/other people when they ask why we watch it. . .XD

Wow, Level 1 and 2 sound pretty fun. 3 is relatively normal, it's about a kid who wants to go shopping with his mom.

Haha, I was totally surprised when I read that they included some game/anime stuff in it - There's also a Dragon Quest question for JLPT 1 listening test!

I wish they would test us like that in Japanese class. This is so much more interesting than listening to a monotone speaker

That puts a smile on my face ^_^ I would have been more tickled if they used the real seiyuus from Evangelion ^_^ So, they put lolis and anime stuff into the JLPTs? Sounds like even more reason to take one next year ^^
