What would you get ?
I took my bi-weekly visit to my local hobby shop, and they just got in some new shipment. Among them, they got some action stands (I bought 9 lol) and an MG Kampfer, MG Strike Freedom, and an MG Blue Frame Astray Revised. Seeing as I can only get 1, Im having a hard time deciding. I like strike freedom, but its not the full burst version. It has the barf yellow inner frame and gold parts. That aspect of it kinda turns me away from it. Although I think I might be able to paint it metallic gold or silver. As for kampfer (which looks badass) does anyone know how the articulation is on this ? Im not so sure if its an older MG kit or not. As for Blue Frame, Its 3rd in my choices. Im not impressed with how it looks but It still looks pretty cool. So what would you get ?

If they had it, Id get it. But they dont.
you hav a few kool features with the strike freedom, and if u want u can make the joints n hands shiny urself :) add a bit of flava to it lol and also the dragoon system is coooooooooool. finally, it looks aesthetically good. Im not much of a fan of the astray blue frame cuz of the colors, like ye blue n white is an awesome combo but...they yellow throws me off. other than tht the buster looking sword is siiick
the kampfer is an old kit and has terrible articulation unless you mod it. much as i dislike seed kits, id have to go w/ the blue frame here
Thats what I was afraid of. Kampfer is off my list for now. They also have an MG shin musha but the price is absurd haha

Too right lol Its funny how this store has some models at great prices but also some ridiculous prices as well. On the other hand, the gundam stands were 4.99usd each :]

what makes terrible articulation? you mean not being able to do a crotch split seed pose?

haha I could care less about it not being able to do the splits or what not. But I do want decent articulation for when I pose them on my shelves. Its kinda boring to pose them just standing up straight. Although Unicorn still looks menacing just standing :]
I own the Kampfer and there isnt that much degree of freedom in the legs and feet because they're fat as hell and with all those thrusters sticking out.
This has been quite the revelation on Kampfer... I've been looking for an MG version for a while, but no one has them in stock. Perhaps I'll go with the HGUC version then ^^;

Kampfer at my Local hobby shop is 50 usd. Decent price I guess. But yea for the most part, it will be an OOb. The only thing Im changing for sure is color on Kampfer or SF. On Blue Frame, I might get rid of the yellow/orange.
A few years back, I was picking up MG Kampfers for 10-15 bucks each. (toysrus/amazon sale back then - when they also sold $20 PG Zaku II and PG Wing Zero kits too). The articulation on the kampfer is pretty nice in comparison to what's available today. I've built about 4 or 5 of them, a few of them rebuild multiple times. They're great kits, but some of the seams are bothersome and in horrible locations. But right out of the box, the articulation is great.
For the money, I'd recommend the Blue Frame. Cannot go wrong there - it's a new kit, newly engineered so that there are little to no seams. The Kampfer will take some work to look decent and you should be able to find it fairly cheaply - as in if it's running the same cost as the blue frame, get the blue frame..
If you haven't decided yet... Get the MG Blue Frame. The SF, like you said, has that crap-colored inner frame. And the MG Kampfer, while it looks cool, is actually a VERY old model so articulation is meh at best (meaning the most you can do is just stand there). Oh yea, and giant sword ftw for Blue Frame ^^
for me.. the blue frame.. I like astray design.. especially the multi purpose backpack of the blue frame..
Sf is pretty much screw cause of the colour of the inner frame
I would get the Blue frame as its nice and sexy and has a big sword that can split into 2:D

What your heart desires should be your acquisition. Something that's fulfilling. I suggest you do it.^^
I would probably get a Blue Frame cause who doesn't like new kits with amazing giant swords? x3
get a hguc kampfer instead
