Life in Singapore - Pasar Malam (Night Market)
As you ( Singaporean ) already known, this entry is more like for FFM friends who liek to know something about Singapore. Pasar Malam, as in malay words means " Night Market" in english where one can find a lot of food, cloths and other groceries. Night market in Singapore is a bit special. They will travel around the island from time to time and scale according to different location.
I like pasar malam mainly because of the food. Whole lots of different food you can find there. Scroll down for pics!

Smell of food every where! woo hoo!

This is "You Zha Kueh" made of flour and fish cake in the middle. yum

sugar cane juice. refreshing and healthy!

They sell plants in pasar malam as well.

And sometimes, a mini fun fair for kids!

Oh! naruto monopoly! nice cross over! lol.

Toys as well. But mostly are made in China products, which is up to one to decide if is usable or not.

Ben 10

Forgot what is this, but taste similar to tayaki.

He Ye Dan, Egg marinated with tea leaves, smells good and taste good.

Some fried vege puff.

Otah! Fish cake wrapped with coconut leaves. taste a bit spicy and a bit bbq

U make me hungry dude. I wanna go visit Singapore now.
Shame england doesn't have malls and markets that are open till late at night. Just makes me want to go back to Singapore and Malaysia just for the food.
Lol its not really open till at night. It only opens at night, haha.
Ahx...
Woodlands is a bit too far from here...
Guess I have to wait for the Pasar Malam at Tampines...
Do I see incest oO?
Ben 10. His sister is pregnat from her own brother!
OMG XD
LOL....Ben and Gwen are cousins, my freind.
And I support the pairing. XD
Yeah, I am very much confused. O_O
ah the memories... i've been to these in malaysia... went to a lot of them just to kill time. except i noticed yours was kinda indoors... while the ones i went to are mostly outside. o
Yeah , Pasar Malam is usually outside in Malaysia but Singapore being a Convenient Country make it indoors to avoid Rainy Nights .
tutu kuay!! Whatcha had? Peanuts or coconuts? ;P
Dammit Tea leaf eggs are fantastic.
RAMILY BURGERRRRRR! @_@ im hungry...
That last pic is called "Putu Piring "
LOL They use Machines to burn the Otah while in Malaysia We use The Old Fashion way !!!
Pasar Malam in Malaysia is usually Outdoors compared to Singapore which is in Indoors is very convenient and We don't have Rides in Pasar Malam either .
No one plays rides anymore these days... Such carnivals are empty even if they're open for business... >,<
But outdoor Pasar Malam is quite an experience, no? ^_^
Interesting Monopoly Junior Naruto. Never knew that.
what why the heck is gwen in the ben 10 sticker album pregnant....
HAHAHAHA
...I'm working there in that Pasar Malam on weekends. D:
Truth be told though... the Pasar Malam in Malaysia are a lot more authentic than Singapore, since it's literally a night market. Whatever you might find in market these days (such as vegetables) are all sold in Malaysia's Pasar Malam!
Malaysian Pasar Malams are more authentic, yes, but I was quite surprised to see that Singaporean ones like this one are quite more organized/neat/roofed! ^^
And one more thing: Singaporean Dollars are double of Malaysian Ringgits, so whenever Singaporeans come over to our Pasar Malams, they spend such a long time there
cause everything's literally half-off. My aunt's visit there was a good example. XD
Oh, totally true there! My parents can spend an hour or so walking around the Pasar Malam, buying food and stuff xD.
yeah. i like msia pasar malam as well! is more like a street style than the one in singapore. ^^ hope i can have chance to cover msia pasar malam soon.
sorry but isnt it cha ye dan (tea leaf egg) instead of he ye dan? ^^;;
OH YAH. HAHAHAHAHAHA, damn. He ye dan if have i wanna try. LOL
Ramly Burgers from picture 2's poster. Those are the BEST common burgers around! Many will travel to neighbor country (from Singapore to) Malaysia to eat them.
Singapore's Ramly burgers cannot compare to those from Malaysia. It's how they make them in Malaysia that makes it nice.
and must be from the road side. haha
THOMAS!
WHAT THA?!
allow me to continue, "FUC*?!"
RAMLY BURGER YAY!
otak-otak, my favorite
Singapore's pasar malam looks like a carnival, I must say.
i love this 8D one of the best things you can find there besides fake pokemon cards xD
I wanna try the sugar crane Ice Cream.
