Adopt a Dollfie Dream Sasara Contest Entries with result
As we are closing in on the deadline for the Adopt a Dollfie Dream Sasara Contest, I am getting ready to post all the applications I have received so far... I have received a total of 5 applications and I will post them in the order they were received.

Let me do a recap on the rules again~
* Hopefully, Danny won’t mind that I am using Figure.fm as the contest location, otherwise I will have to host it in my own site, which could be less fun :(
* Contestant must already be a member at Figure.fm, and have already introduced himself/herself to the community in one way or another, in an attempt to weed out any potential Dollfie Dream reseller.
* Contest will be consists of two parts
* The first part of the contest involves the contestant submitting an “application” to become Sasara’s new parent, this “application” can be represented in any form, it can be a Sasara fan art, can be a 4koma, composite photo, a poem, an essay, absolutely anything you can think of that can show how much you are going to love your new daughter Sasara. Your goal here is to impress the “Judges” and show how much affection you have for Sasara, please keep that in mind and keep it in good taste.
* Contestants will have to submit their application to me at wolfheinrich at hotmail dot com no later than the end of the day on December 10th, 2009 CST.
* Now the next part is where both my own opinion and the public opinion will be considered: I will choose one favorite application (without telling anyone) and I will also post all of the applications to figure.fm for everyone to look at and vote for their favorite application.
* If the one I chose and the one chosen by the figure.fm community is the same application, then it’s automatic winner, no further contest would be necessary.
* If the one I chose and the one chosen by the community is not the same, the two contestants will advance to the next stage and have to answer a list of quiz questions I have prepared, the subject is of course going to be about Sasara’s storyline as it is presented in the ToHeart 2 PC version of the game (the OVA doesn’t count since I don’t consider that the real storyline), some questions about figure.fm and some about my own blog. This part of the contest will have to be conducted in real time so whoever answered the all the questions correctly first will be declared as winner.
Ok that’s basically all the rules, the eventual winner will have to pay a “dowry” $650+$50 Express mail shipping/insurance to me at a paypal account I designated within a few days time so I can have Sasara sent out (with tracking number) to the winner in time for Christmas.
And almost 2 weeks later, I have received 5 genuine applications, I really appreciate all the work each participants have put forth.

I hope that I'm last but not least.
All I can do it's just a messy fan art drawing. Cuz' poetry poems or
something dont seem to be quite right, and I wont be able to create
some of that.
I know Im just nobody to compete against so many proffessional
contestants, in illustrations for example.
I know my drawing looks annoying in some way, but this is all I can do
to express my feeling for Sasara.
In my imagination, YOUR daughter with gorgeous blonde hair and an
angelic baby-face reminds me of the Alice in the wonderland.
(Because she's like a miniature of the real Sasara) And that's the
theme of my picture. I know some part doesnt seem to be alright.
I know I wont be appropriate chosen one for her.
But what I'm expecting is to see how far other contestants will go for
your daughter.

parent. I trust in her father's wise judgement.

Here's my application for Sasara. It's a small chibi sculpture I made out of paperclay and acrylics. I guess this shows how much I love her because after sculpting her image by hand I've really come to appreciate all the hard work Leaf put into her design and all the time Volks must have dedicated to give her the right face, wig, clothes and makeup to make an exceptional Dollfie Dream! Sasara really is a work of art. This is the first time I have made anything like this but I wanted to do something special to prove my love and admiration for Sasara.
If you only need one photo you can pick which one you like best but here's a few just to show the sculpture at different angels.
The voting period is set for 48 hours, I will make further announcement on whether we have an outright winner or do we need to move on to the 2nd part of the contest.

I have examined all The entries and its really hard to pick just one . I could imagine you picking one of them .
What touched my heart so far is Schrödinger 's video , I almost cried T_T If she didn't win . Her Comic in that video really really touched me .
but Then again , NinaValentina 's work of art is really stunning and really shows her love for Sasara . I find it really moe .
I LOLed at kuraishi flash because of The Combo of Mecha and Moe . Which is quite cool .
Fantom 's letter is really good and shows how desperate he is about the contest .
I can imagine how hard it is too choose only one .

All are very beautiful and well done entries. Props to everyone who participated.
I can see the effort that Shrodinger put into her video.
Kuraishi's is just ridiculously amazing. To model a plane in 3d is difficult enough, I cannot even begin to fathom how difficult it is to model a Valkyrie. and then turn it into an ita-plane of your vaunted character. Props to the man.
Urotoraseven(erick) is nice clean and simple. But you can really see how badly he wants to adopt her.
Ninavalentina's Clay sculpture. Just too awesomely cute for for words. It just took this contest to a different level of creativity.
Last but not the least; Fantom, while it may not exactly be comparatively amazing as the rest of the entries, it's the letter that really struck me. I sense that much love and sincerity was poured into that simple entry. I'm not saying that the others aren't as sincere, but it somehow reminded me of how I felt when I first got Rin.

A couple of things,
You can really feel how much these five really want Sasara.. I mean A sculpture.. A mecha.. Powerpoint! I mean wow! I give each and everyone of you props.
Schrödinger, Cute powerpoint.. the music to me.. was too cutesy.. but it fit! so, no worries there.. I love your comic at the end.. though the Yandere ending was a little off and scarey. I'm sure you wouldn't do anything to weird to poor little Sasara.
Urutoraseven, What can I say.. A life sized DD sasara on your bed.. You and Ken got lots to talk about %_% no seriously. Its a well done application, Otacool was an achievement.. Hopefully you are indeed ready for Adoption.
Fantom, I'm a little curious why you sound so passionate yet are so certain of your defeat? Your art is fine. Even if you don't win, I hope you realize, that confidence in what one can do is very important don't sell yaself short cause if its the best you can do that the time thats more then anyone can ever ask of ya.
Kuraishi, What the hell man, Thats like, Way cooler then it oughta be.. I like it. Only thing that bugs me is.. Okay put tons of work into the valkyrie.. where is the Sasara love to go with it? Okay I realize its smeared all over that plane.. And keeping words to a minimum.. would've been nice to have a little more from you input text wise. ^_^

I knew my application was not good enough. I thought there were going to be more participants.
Unfortunately, I did not know much about the character but Sasara dollfie looks so nice that it was worth the try.
So difficult to find a dollfie at an affordable price. Good luck to the winner, Wolfheinrich thanks for the opportunity.

Wow, tough choice. In the end I had to go for the sculpture. I've worked with paper clay before; it's a tricky sculpting medium, and that is a great piece despite that! Though I do hope NinaValentina reinforced her neck. It would be a shame if her head fell off. ^^;

What surprises me is two of the candidates are ladies. I'm really moved by how much love was poured into Sasara by (her future) mothers. Especially, NinaValentina's sculpture is really amazing. We don't usually see a creative and unique work of art like that.

I am going to give my comments on each of the entries, a great deal of creativity has been shown in these applications, much more than I had anticipated.
Schrödinger, your powerpoint message and your Christmas wish is quite moving and I have to say that I was a real Santa and can grant any wishes, yours is definitely one of those I am going to grant.
Urutoraseven (Eric), your contest entry was spotted by by someone in my flickr account asking how big these Dollfie Dream are, nicely shopped photo indeed.
Fantom, modesty is a good thing but pessimism is going to help you much. Judging from the final result though, I say you are getting more support than you anticipated.
Kuraishi, nice Sasara Ita-valkyrie, would have been better if you had shown more emotion in your application than just a cool plane though.
NinaValentina, I am quite impressed by the amount of work you had put into this. I am not really a big fan of cute figure, but the amount of effort shown there just can't be trivialized.
Overall, a very tight race between Schrödinger's powerpoint message and NinaValentina's paperclay sculpture, a genuine wish vs. a genuine effort. It's certainly difficult for me to pick a winner, not that picking a winner is a difficult thing to do; but at the same time, I am also picking a loser. But since I only have one Sasara up for adoption, a winner must be decided. Even though I have already prepared the second phase of this test, but in the end, I have leaned towards the genuine effort and I have decided that we have an outright winner in this contest. Allow me to congratulate NinaValentina as Sasara's new parent!
