As promised: A Suzuhime photoshoot
Well, after a long time of waiting, I finally got my Suzuhime yesterday. So as promised, a little photoshoot and review for you guys. I'm not that good at photoshoots yet, so any comments and tips are always welcome ^^

When I first saw pics of Suzuhime, I immediately liked to have her. I don't know anything about the Samurai Spirits series, but I just couldn't resist this cute kimono-girl ^^. Being a Japan-only exclusive, I had no choice but to order her through Kotobukiya's online store. Thank god I took Japanese last year, so with the help of that and Google translate I was able to place a pre-order.
I decided to use Tenso.com to get her to me from Japan and that actually worked out very well. The site has clear instructions and the fees are very reasonable (like only 500-1000 yen). The bulk of the cost was the actual EMS shipping, but that was unavoidable anways

I'm really pleased about the Suzu's quality. Had to be, since she's only a 1/8 scale but cost Y8800 !
Love the details on her kimono ^^

Some nice yoko-pai =3

Suzu has very lovely eyes.

I was really surprised to see you also get some extra goodies with her; that made the relatively high price for figure+shipping+taxes+post office rippoff a lot more worth it.
Next to the small artbook describing the character and how the figure came to be, you also get a pencil board, an A4 sized poster, and......

A bery bery smexy dakimakura! I never actually thought I'd own one, so it was really a surprise to find this in the box. I believe these can cost 150USD when you buy them separately, so to just get one for free is really nice.
Over the whole, I'm very glad I went through all the trouble, waiting (and risk) of trying to order this sweet little exclusive figure. Hoped you liked the review, and when I figure out the settings on my dad's camera a bit more, I may do some more shoots ^^

Is it just me or do her foot on the dakimura picture looks distorted?
Nah, it's because the original picture is bigger; the foot was cropped to fit her on the dakimakura ^^
I really envy you, man. Congrats on your purchase. I want a dakimakura too but too expensive =((
What a nice pack of goodies you got with the figure. I agree, the patterns on her kimono is a nice touch.
For some reason, I'm curious about her two-handed sword. The "engravings" on the hilt area look interesting. How about a shot of just the sword?
It's a very nice sword indeed. I'm gonna give you this link to the post Danny did on her earlier: http://www.dannychoo.com/post/en/19967/Suzuhime.html There's a pic of the sword there.
I knew I should've taken a shot of the sword before I assembled her, since it was quite a pain to get it fitted in, so I'm not gonna try to yank it out again ^^;
Thats a great looking figure ! All the extras are a nice addition too !
