Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is the best first-person shooting game of the year !!
It's not just the graphics but the story is full of twist and turn!
Hopefully there will be a CoD: Modern Warfare 3 in the future!!
Anyone feels the same ?
Agreed! The Internet cafe next to my uni just installed MW2 on their PCs and I had a chance to play the campaign. IT WAS FRIKKIN' AWESOME!!! Can't wait to finish it and play multi~
I've played through the campaign and it was damn great!! way better than the first one XD
MW2 was most excellent, it's pretty intense.
And yes, there better be a MW3, we need to know what happens to Soap and Price.
I have to agree and say this was a great game. Me and my cousin just platinum trophied the game a couple of days ago. That spec ops mode is dam hard lol. Not sure If I want to prestige in multi-player though. Im only level 28 and Im getting bored haha. I had a customer tell me he got the platinum trophy by himself in 1 day. What a steaming load of pooh. Some levels on spec-ops require 2 people to play. Oh well. Great game for sure !
The campaign was too short and the story made little sense, and multiplayer is weaker than MW1 (I'm playing the PC version, so the no dedicated servers meant a downgrade, so there were no mods, and 64 player servers became a 18-player max). Best FPS in 2009 for me is Left 4 Dead 2, Borderlands, and ARMA 2.
I agree with the length of the campaign. One can easily beat it in 4-5 hours on regular. But I dont see what you mean on the the single player campaign making little sense ? I fully understand what happened and why according to the game. It was pretty easy to follow.
The story was easy to follow, but made little sense when you think about it. Why would Russia launch a full scale invasion of the US after just a small terrorist attack on an airport, when the airport security footage would have clearly demonstrated it was the Russian bad guy leading the attack, and therefore risk nuclear warfare in the process? Also there are lots of inaccuracies. Why are the Russians using Israeli, Belgian, and French weapons? How does the ISS and the astronaut get killed by a shockwave from a nuclear blast in space, when there's no atmosphere in space for the blast to displace to create the shockwave in the first place?
Ah I see what you mean with the weapons and the astronaut being blown away by the shockwave. As for why Russia invaded NA, Im guessing that they didnt know (POSSIBLE SPOILERS) that Makarov was a Russian but thought he was an American that massacred civilians. If you remember, he said "remember, no Russian" I think he said this so that people wouldnt think they were russians. They were using American weapons and the fact that Allen was found dead at the scene hints that Americans carried out the act. So Russia invades America in retaliation. Thats what I got from it.
As for whats up with the shockwave and weapons, it seems IW didnt do as realistic a job as they shouldve.
Oh yeah man, ARMA 2 is crazy. Borderlands was....well I'm a story-person so it wasn't too great for me. Didn't get to play L4D2 because I'm broke :(
But yeah the multiplayer for the PC version made the entire game a no-buy for me. That....and the new 60$ price tag. Damn you Bobby Kotick!
I vote Killzone 2. But, who knows. MW2 will probably win.

I don't like guns, but like bows and arrows, with a broadsword being a very distant second choice. Fav game = Oblivion.
Haven't played MW2 and don't want to. I am content with playing Oblivion, Grid, Burnout Paradise or GTA IV. I am interested in Diablo 3.

I am a FPS fan but I have not played COD:MW2 mainly because I am not liking the weapons. I heard that my beloeved MP5 (not the MP5K) and G36 are gone. I love COD:Modern Warefare but I think MW2 is getting more hype than it deserves. They got rid of my bolt action rifles and there isn't a L96 >_< Rainbow Six Vegas 2 FTW when it comes to weapon selection. I have been contemplating getting MW2 if it is on sale but I am thinking I will be unhappy with it compared to COD: Modern Warefare.
MW2 is one of the coolest FPS game so far aswell as Borderlands!Still playing MW2 Multiplayer been soo addicted to it,ill be playing it in the next few months while waiting for Final Fantasy 13!
Great in various aspects but disappointing in others. The campaign felt a bit short... I haven't had a chance to fully enjoy it as I still have exams but I will shoot to my heart's content soon enough!
Was a disappointment for me. I loved COD4, singleplayer and multiplayer. Especially the multiplayer.
MW2 was....I dunno. The singleplayer was a blast, but WAY too short. It was over the day I got the game, which doesn't win any points from me. And don't even get me started on the multiplayer (I'm playing the PC version, always PC for FPS games). Abysmal.
Overall its a 6/10 deal for me - 4pts for a decent but short singleplayer, 2 pts for an abysmal multiplayer. Graphics don't win any points because there were games with graphics MUCH better that came out this year (First that comes to mind is Uncharted 2, if you don't count PC games).
I don't want a Modern Warfare 3 if they're just going to screw over PC players with laggy, glitchy and short single player campaign with no dedicated servers in multiplayer :\
Heard it's doing rather well for a Western FPS.

Those who have Finished the Game know that there will most definitely be a third
I'll say, a cliffhanger is no way to end a story.
