Glasses

Posted by hase0

Just got my glasses today. This is the first time I've ever needed to use glasses or contacts. I've been wearing contacts since the first of Dec. but definitely prefer glasses over them. Do you wear glasses/contacts?
I also happened to have picked up this Nendo Nozomu Itoshiki (from Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei) recently. Best decision I've ever made. :)

    Been wearing glasses for around 3-4 years. My opinion of them is that they make me look smarter XD at first it felt like my eyes get strained all the time as my eyes tries to get used to them.

    I really need them when i'm driving and the other day forgot to put them on and was really FREAKED OUT when I couldn't see the road at all, mirrors were all foggy and didn't help at all even though I wiped them and opened the windows, luckily I was only going somewhere close and back so nothing bad happened.

      Sounds like me lol. I kept wondering why everything looked foggy every time I drove my car back and forth to my university and ended up going to the eye doctor to get a check up. Found out that I had lost most of my distance vision somehow in about a month's time... definitely not something the eye doctor expected to hear about lol.

      Haha, I know that feeling. When I first started it felt like I was going to poke one of my eyes out lol. But eventually I got used to it and started putting them in no problem. I'm sure if you needed to you could get used to them. Just if you do, make sure to be careful if your fingernails are longer than average because you don't wanna cause even worse damage to your eye lol.

    meganekko here since...oh, I can't remember, the late 1980s??? Yes, I've been pretty much wearing glasses for a very long time. At one point I swapped out my glasses for soft contact lenses, but found the daily lens-care routines annoying. The lenses weren't suited for my eyes, I guess. I wear my megane nearly constantly.

    Have had to wear "reading" glasses for about three - four years now, can't see anything clearly
    within 2-3 feet. Makes painting miniatures, reading or typing a real pain. I guess I shouldn't complain,
    really, I am getting close to 50, after all. (will be 49 in June)

    I love my glasses. ^_^ Have a top-rim pair with rectangular-ish lenses. Honestly I only use contacts when I play sports.

    I've been wearing glasses for years, but only for using the TV really. (And then only when I'm alone. I have a weird embarrassment thing about wearing them around people for some reason ^^;) I tried using contacts years ago but I just couldn't handle getting them in and out ^^;;

    I really need some new glasses, mine are so old now and my eyes have gotten a little worse since I got. I'll have to get some soon, I'm just really not good and picking what looks good, lol.

    I started wearing glasses since I was 10 - they've become a part of me, so I feel weird if I'm not wearing them. xD; I also have an irrational fear of using contact lenses - the thought of sticking foreign objects into my eyes doesn't appeal to me. XDDD

    Image 36153 made me laugh. XD His expression is so apt.

    I've been wearing glasses for twelves years now (from the age of eight). I hated them at first but I've had more than enough time to get used to them. I used to want contact lenses but I don't care any more. My parents - who refused to let me have contacts when I was younger - have even tried to persuade me to get them, but I'm not interested ^^;

    I have been wearing glasses for about two years now and I don't mind them but they are a pain in the arse when it comes to wearing eye protection for shooting firearms or air rifles ^_^ Also, I hate it when I go to eat udon, ramen, soup or drink tea and my glasses get all fogged up ^^ I am thinking about getting contacts but I like the ease of using glasses ^^

    Well, I've been wearing glasses since I was about 16 years old.. that puts it about.. uhm.. 15 years ago? I have astigmatism.. so, without my glasses when I wear contacts the world is less crisp.. I'm still seeing 20/20 corrected.. but its just less sharp cause of the astigmatism. so I prefer my glasses. But when snorkeling/diving and Hunting... I wear my contacts cause they are more water and wet friendly then my glasses.

    Nothing worse then trying to sight down the rifle, when you exhale ya glasses fog up and you can't see bunk.

    lol, I can see well without my glasses, and it's only my right eye that trails off, so my glasses are pretty strong for non glass wearers
