gundamstoreandmore.com - Worst customer service ever

Hi Fellow DC comrades. This post is to report the worst internet store in which I've ever bought. The whole story is as follows. On November 30th I ordered two Gundam Action Base 1 Clear and the same day received a confirmation email saying they took 2-3 business days to process the order. After the third business day began to write emails, initially asking them to ship my order, then asking for a refund since my credit card was charged at the second business day and the order still not shipped. On December 9th received an email from them saying there was a problem with my billing address (strange since my credit card was charged many days ago) and they would issue a refund to my credit card. So, decided to wait for the refund until December 11th when received an email saying that my order has been shipped. WHAT A CRAPPY SERVICE, just two days ago they told me were going to refund my money. At that time decided just to wait for my order to arrive and leave things as they are. Can you imagine what a torture would be to return the items and keep asking them for a refund?

So, I suggest you to buy from stores like Hobbylink Japan or AmiAmi, their customer service is excellent and the prices are really low. Think twice before you buy at gundamstoreandmore.com

Sorry to hear what has happened to you. Yup, I agree with you on Hobbylink Japan or AmiAmi. Normally you should stick to the bigger online anime stores, as like what you stated, "excellent customer service+price" I think you can tell if the business is not professional or not, as the type of name the business has.

I agree to that, HLJ is the best online store for buying model kits IMO. But I didn't try AmiAmi yet.

umm no offense, but I have had bad times with HLJ -the wait periods, so yea.. not an hlj fan (i use it as a last resort) I think AmiAmi has much better support (although I never had to use it, which is I guess a good thing). On the other hand, I never had problems with Gundam Store and MOre, let alone asked for a refund or not... So yea, I still think it's a good store to buy cheap gunpla locally

Ah. And I was about to buy some action bases from them too. well. Let's see. I'll jump in and try it, and see what happens. They seem to be pretty reasonably priced. I think I'll use paypal instead though, just to be safe.

OH, and Plus to HLJ and Amiami, but I'd rather not pay for overseas shipping. Just sayin... I could always just get action bases off ebay too.

Well, I have no problems about that site since I had paypal. But the shipping is just a pain. You and I had similar crappy services, unfortunately on this store....
    http://www.tisinc99.com/
I ordered a double X gundam and Dynames gundam...1 item got right but instead of receiving dynames, I received the crap called union flag....they say they'll return 10.00 for the wrong item if I'm keeping it or rather discount, I doubt they'll return it or give me that. And I had a similar torture, late email responses....DX

Sorry to hear about all the problems you had to go through, truthfully I could never bring myself to trust gundamstoreandmore for some reason. Anyway, for me, I usually go to Hobbysearch, http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/gundam/. They were really quick with processing, deliveries and such. Also there is another online store called rainbowten, but they are mostly just for modelers. I have yet to try HLJ and AmiAmi, but so far I haven't been disappointed by the online stores I am buying from right now.

Anyone else heard or buy from these online stores? I am interested in your opinions about them as well.

I've never had issues with Gundam Store and More...infact, they are the main store that I get Gundams form. One time, I placed an order and after like a day they said it was out of stock, but they said they would give me an extra 10% on my order(which was about $30), the said to call them and tell them the number of the item I wanted. I wrote the number down for a Zaku II 2.0, because it was exactly the right amount, then my mom called them and ordered, when she gave the number the guy said "well that's a little higher than 10%, but we'll do it." I thought that was totally cheap...until the package came. Apparently my mom had read one number wrong, so instead of a Zaku II 2.0, I got a MG Destiny EBM! So I got a $75 model for only $30...

im sorry to hear that, sounds like they had quite the mixup on their end.

it was most likely due to how busy it gets their during the christmas season. ive been buying stuff from them for over 6 years, and ive never had a problem. in fact i have a pile of kits sitting right in front of me that i ordered from them. placed the order on saturday, it was shipped on monday, received it friday. i always recommend GSAM to new people, they have the best gunpla prices in the western hemisphere, lots of sales and special offers, and great selection too.

stores like HLJ and hobby search may carry alot of other stuff like waifu figures and non-gundam models, but they tend to rape you on shipping prices, making up for whatever sort of savings you might make by ordering from Asia. i have an order from HLJ shipping right now, and i payed more for the shipping than the actual items! and i used the slow shipping!

Rainbow 10 is hands down the best place to order gunpla from.

Had something like that happen to me from them too. Ordered 2 HCM gundam from them, though received my shipment one was the wrong item. Emailed them and never received a reply so I emailed them again but still no reply. Then I started to believe they purposefully gave me the wrong item as the one I wanted may not have been in stock at the time. Why I came to that conclusion, beats me, the one they sent me was a few $ more than the one I ordered and even told them that in the email.

Gundam Store and More is probably the best place for Gundams in America. I wouldn't know where else to go. The stock updates a little slowly, but for best prices and fastest shipping in the states they can't be beat. I'm sorry you encountered some problems.

When it comes to gunpla, i stick with Hobbywave. Mainly cause of the flat rate shipping of 10 bucks.

    HLJ.com and J-list.
J-list has a good service. I like em'

I haven't tried AmiAmi yet, but will try them in the future.

Looking at the posted website. I don't really want to buy from it. They have some kind of a Gundam fanart for the banner, dark, and full of ads to advertise . . . Gundam O>O

I just stumbled across this message and had to comment. I work at Gundam Store and More, and we worked our butts off this Christmas to get everything out to everyone.

The only guy who ordered 2 clear bases on 11/30 got them for FREE since there was a problem and they were late leaving. Your bank didn’t approve your billing address and for credit card safety we don’t usually let that go. However, the store owner’s wife, who runs a lot of the front office, was rushed to the ER the day after you ordered. She almost died that day and had to stay in the ICU over 40 days. She is still in a hospital getting rehab to learn to how to walk again.

I’m sorry your items were late, but you got them for free. I don’t know why the owner gave them to you for free, but he was having a hard time and you got the benefit. The owners here always try to make everything right if ever there is a problem.

Thanks to those people who posted good things about the store. I assure you, we do kick ass and our customers have voted us a 5 store store because of it.

Greetings, I want to know what is happening in Gundam Store; before, i was making purchases without

problems, but since last month there are taking too much time to process purchases, why the delay? I read

what happened to the wife of the owner, is a pity, I hope it improves, I expect a response about why the

store is taking to much time to process the purchases. I had to cancel the previous order, because it

spent almost 2 weeks and the order was not processed. Last week i made another order, it have passed 4

days and nothing, the relative who made the purchase for me (on behalf of himself, of course) try to phone

them at different times for several days and didn't get response, I want to make more purchases, i just

ask for a normal attention and in time. Please wait for a response. Thanks
