Bootleg Nendoroid Saber Lily T_T

I don't know if this one already posted or not, but let's recap this:
1. Bootleg Figma Sabe Lily? CHECK !
2. Recast Saber Lily PVC? CHECK !
3. And at last.... Bootleg Nendoroid Saber Lily.... sadly... CHECK >.<
If you already own genuine Nendoroid Saber Lily, I bet you will be able to figure it out right away if this one is fake.
No golden capcom sticker with Rockman/Megaman head printed on the box.
Just be sure to check the common identification:
0. Look at the box pic from hobbysearch or other trusted sites. If it got sticker on it, and then you see someone sell it without sticker on it, I'm sure that one is a bootleg. And I doubt it if someone will remove the sticker for whatever reason (unless their finger got very-very itchy XD).
1. Authentic Nendoroid got plastic sheets to wrap or covering the Nendoroid parts. The picture above got nothing than just a plastic tray.
2. Authentic Nendoroid also sealed with rounded clear plastic tape on the box.
3. Authentic Nendoroid got better paint job and better box colors
4. etc, please add :)
Nendoroider, beware.
One of the buyer asking question to the seller, "original/bootleg or not?" But the seller refuse to answer this directly, he/she answer with different meaning >.<

Notice the absence of any official stickers and any additional protective plastic wrapping like this one.. http://cgi.ebay.com/Cute-Nendoroid-Fate-unlimited-codes-saber-Lily-figure_W0QQitemZ160387134617QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item2557d17499
I curious about the red mark on the box actually. What's that?
Also the seller not answering the question directly, bootleg or not.
The red thing could be a store sticker or something.
Not sure.
It could simply be the distributor's logo. Licensed distributors such as AAA Anime Distribution in the United States would put their logo on the figure box.
Oh, I see :)
No sticker indeed.
I even said ACCEPT NO BOOTLEGS in my article!
http://www.figure.fm/post/en/4647/Some+Late+October+Loot.html
And also, no plastic sheet that usually used to wrap or as a "pillow" for nendoroid head or other parts.
A bootleg saber lily, arrgghhh!!
Btw how can you snap the picture of the bootleg? The store owner didn't say anything? ^_^
Pic was hijacked from ebay, one of source for bootleg Nendoroid :D
I can see the crappy paint on this bootleg... haha
This is really sad. It almost seems like GSC was expecting this to happen which would explain the new sticker. :/
That's right, ALWAYS look for some sort of authentication sticker.
while generally true it's now ALWYAS the case, my kannu figma was legit yet it had no sticker, had me worried for a while until I checked it.
Typo! XD
When I first read about bootleg Figmas, I was tad worried if my Rin was real or not; thankfully the box she came in had the Type Moon holo sticker on it and she functioned just fine. Although there are several ways to verify a figure, the sticker method is my most common tactic.
Yes, my raspberyl don't have any sticker on it.
Just be sure to check the common identification:

All bootlegs have a rather glossy paint finish... Authentics have a duller matte finish...
Regarding point #3 "Authentic Nendoroid got better paint job and better box colors", I visited a local gamestore Funzcenter a few days ago and saw the following nendoroids for sale:
(a) GSC Ryuk (Death Note) nendoroid - about SGD 22.00 (or 1,400 yen).
(b) GSC Light Yagami (Death Note) nendoroid - about SGD 22.00 (or 1,400 yen).
(c) GSC Hatsune Miku nendoroid - about SGD 46.00 (or 2,900 yen)
Keeping in mind the MSRP for all of the above 3 nendoroids is about 2,900 yen each and their release dates are in 2007 - 2008, these are all red flags for bootlegs, right? Yet, as I was holding up those nendoroid boxes to examine them up close (there's quite a few on sale), I can't really tell whether they're bootlegs (on the basis of paint job quality alone). The Miku box has no sticker. Then again, the Miku I got from HobbySearch has no sticker either. Perhaps any defects would be apparent from a side-by-side alleged-bootleg vs authentic comparison. However, I feel that the bootlegs (if they are indeed bootlegs) have already succeeded if a side-by-side comparison is required.
Bootlegger from time to time will make perfect of their box copy. But still, I can tell which one is bootleg, for now. I don't know in the future thought.
If box identification fail, try the other points I've mention it :)
it was bound to happen because it is popular figure that everybody wants and bootleggers will try to rip people off.
Sadly... yeah... :(
notice how bootleg seller usually write cute!, kawaii!, sexy!... etc before everything, bootlegs are the farthest thing from kawaii! : <
Oh, you're right. Ahahahaha... :D
checking out the link that comrade Mim provided, it's $18 and free shipping!?! any sane collector would just know that this is definitely a ripoff! no need to look at the pictures and squint at it imho
There's no need to squint. The Saber Lily in the eBay pictures is authentic. How do I know that? Why, it's the same pictures used by GoodSmile Company themselves (http://www.goodsmile.info/detail/eng/2499/Nendoroid+Saber+Lily.html )! The eBay seller simply took official pictures and used them as his own, a common tactic employed by bootleggers.
check the placement of the parts inside the packaging. it was not on the right places
Usually the price can tell if it's a fake or not. As in... if the price looks really awesome and cheap, then it's most likely a fake.
As for other points that aren't already mentioned in your post... not sure... D:
I got an authentic Luka at 55 SGD which most places are selling for 70 or maybe even more? It's all a matter of whether you know where to hunt and how to spot Fakes. If it's a fake, the paint will definitely be off and the joints will be loose. Heck, my hunt for saber lily continues... D:
For Saber Lily bootlegs, you can only see like half of the round circle bit in her eye, whereas the real ones you can see the whole of it
Also the symbol on the armour on bootlegs is positioned more down and is coloured blue
