Erin's Room
-Name: Erin
-Age: 18
-How many years you have been an otaku: I've been aware of being an otaku for...about eight to nine years. I was really in to anime when I was a little kid, like Sailor Moon and Dragon Ball Z, but I wasn't aware what it was, so that doesn't count.
-Nationality: American
-Outline of your collection: 618 manga, 105 anime DVDs, 7 art books, 4 Figmas, 2 Revoltech, 2 Azone dolls, 1 1/6 Obitsu doll, 1 Pullip Taeyang, 2 Nendoroids, 65 miscelanious figures (gachapon, trading figures), 19 plushies, 16 posters/wall scrolls, 5 doujinshi
-How much your collection cost: Roughly 10,000 USD.
-Your fave item: My Pullip Taeyang. He's so pretty.
-Your website address: http://www.belleonanime.com
-Anything else to say: I've been collecting anime and manga and figures for so long, I don't really realize how much I have until I step back and look at everything at once, like I did when I took these pictures ^^;; I hope to keep expanding my collection for a long time to come (although it might have to take a back seat for a while when I'm at college...I could do an Otacool dorm room submission when I move in, haha).

The view from my bed. It makes me so happy to wake up in the morning and see all my manga and plushies, haha. I need to buy some new shelves, but there's not enough room.

The shelves for my figures are right near the doorway to my room, and a lot of people smack in to the shelves when they first walk in, or if it's dark. My poor figures! Every day is an adventure for them.

My plushie collection has been relatively unchanged for a while, since I spend most of my money on figures these days. My favorite plushie is the one of Italy from Axis Powers Hetalia that my best friend made for me. He's so chubby and adorable!

This is my honorable figure shelf. All my favorites go up on this one. My all-time favorite is my Saki figure from Genshiken. It took me a long time to track her down (I wasn't ordering figures from the internet at that time), and I just found her randomly at a convention I was at. What luck!

This is just a close-up shot at some of the more inexpensive figures I have. My favorites in this shot would be my set of Stellvia collectible figurines, a few of which are pictured here. I adore the series, and I wish that there were more figures for the series.

My bookshelves again! My room gets very dusty, unfortunately.

More bookshelves, and my cardboard cut out of Tohru Honda from Fruits Basket. I got her for free from our local Waldenbooks. What luck!

My desk, which unfortunately isn't actually in my bedroom. There's not enough room! My desk is also considerably messier than my room...

My two computers, an ancient Dell (I'm not even sure what version it is) and my Macbook Pro that I just got. My Figmas also keep me company while I work online.

Tohru and I thank you for looking at my room!

Lovely Room!!! A lot of Manga!! One question: Do you have leaning problems with your Saki Kasukabe?? I have one too with this problem
I have HORRIBLE leaning problems with her! She often topples over in the middle of the night, and since she's on the top shelf, it means she takes all my other figures down with her.
Honda Tohru of Furuba~! Natsukashii~! Love the Kyou x Tohru pairing to bits... ^_^
I didn't like Tohru and Kyou at first, because I was a huge fan of Yuki and Tohru, but as the series finished, it ended up growing on me.
*____*
I love your collection.
Thank you! ^///^ So do I, hehe.
I am so jealous of the Tohru cutout ^^ <3 Fruits Basket!
Interesting pose with Yoko XD and I see some Stellvia figures! ^^
Good stuff!
One of my friends posed her at an anime club figure pose-off. I thought it was fantastic, so I kept her in the pose XD It makes a lot of people double-take,haha.
Wow, you have A LOT of manga!!! Which manga is your favorite?
Your room is very cute! And so is your picture with Tohru!
Is that a cosplay wig in the back? hehe
Right now, my favorite manga is Mixed Vegetables. I've been really in to the shoujo cooking manga genre for a while, like Kitchen Princess.
Yes, it is! It's my Rin Kagamine cosplay wig, and my friend's Len Kagamine wig.
And I really need a lot of shelves for my manga... Good arrangement with the shelves there :)
Thanks! I just wish there was room for one more...
^^; Big contrast between a new MBP and an old Dell, ain't it? I can't think of two more different machines...unless it's an ancient IBM server or something...
Absolutely! Now that I've got my MBP, I can't BELIEVE I went so long on my Dell. I'm not used to having a machine that doesn't crash every other day.
WOW! A very sweet and cozy room you have there! I always want my room to be something like that as many people think that my room is too much like a guy's room, but i just can't get my stuff to be so neat. = = So much junk in my room. =P
Haha, I'm really OCD, so I keep everything uber organized. Everything is alphabetized and I try to dust my shelves every week. People never think my room belongs to a teenager ^^;
Nice room, very neat and organized too, for some reason from the first photos on it ha sthe atmosphere of a girl's room right away. (Could be some of the shoujo items but still...)
Thank you! I'm glad to hear that my room has a very feminine look to it. That was my goal!
I love your shelves ^^ all in your room ^o^
I've the same problem in my room, there isn't enough space to put all my wallscrools (22 so far) and soon I'll need to get another bookshelve for my upcoming figures from México. Nice room.
<3 the Megatokyo wall scroll.
Duh tell, but back in the day Megatokyo kinda spawned my Otaku-ness.
Other than some other anime when I was a kid.~
That last picture ;0; UGH I wish I had a big Tohru Honda cutout T_T And your selection of manga is to die for, it's so conveniently placed right next to your bed!!
I'm actually not a huge fan of Tohru, but she looked so cute in the cut-out, I couldn't resist >///< I spend so much money in that Waldenbooks, the manager figured I'd earned her XD
My friends always tease me by saying that I would just have to burn along with the rest of my possessions if my house caught fire. My manga collection means the world to me ^^;
I spy American girl dolls.^_^
Ah, the remnants of my childhood! Fond childhood memories are selling well on e-bay right now, though. I sold two of them in order to scrape together the funds for my Dollfie daughter, Mariko ^^;
