Armored Core - Main Core Type CREST

Posted by Trent

This was not only my first Armored Core kit, but also my first Kotobukia kit, and I absolutely loved it! I love the detail, and the construction was very inventive and extremely well planned out. I like the paint job I did on this one, and am pretty satisfied with my noob attempts at weathering - I think it fits the look of the machine. I have a brother kit to this one that I have yet to put together yet, but it will match aesthetically, only it will be dark red instead of blue!

Congrats for your 1st kotobukiya model.. (and will grow up I presume hehe..)

Kotobukiya always awesome at detail but rather poor at plastic quality..
but armored core really an awesome line up from kotobukiya.. (white glint, rayleonard, and many more)

Nice weathering, I only see an issue that there appears to be a "metalflake" in the blue parts. Otherwise, the rest is Awesome!!... I like!!..

Yeah, the metal flake is definitely more apparent in the pictures, I never looked so sparkly in person! haha. Thanks for the weathering compliments though!

Yeah, the Variable Infinity line is awesome. The sea of runners you get once the box gets opened can be kind of disheartening sometimes, though.
Just curious, did you have any fitment issues with the overboost turbines on the mecha's back when you were building? Or was I just unlucky?

I didn't have any real issues, but that was definitely the most difficult part of the build! Expesically those little tubes that fit back there were really challenging to get right.
