Oh back when I was in Italy a few years ago there werent any visitors allowed on the top platform.
What happened to the wires that are holding the tower in place?
Is there still such a guge black market right besides the tower? ^_^;

I think they finished some major restoration work a few years ago so that may have been why. We didn't go to the top, you have to reserve way in advance for that and it's more money. And yeah, the shady market on the side of the road is still there ^^;
I was told that it was because people frequently went splat there. There were no handrails that I could see, so I believed him. O.o; I personally don't see how someone would want to climb it, because it looks too dangerous to me.
