A Little help

Posted by battrastard [www]

Trying to find some "quality" bits for 2 1/6 charas I picked up a while (a looong while) ago. They were called "World Hero's" Sorta like G.I. Joe, but made elsewhere... Can I get accessories for these, or am I stuck??

I don't have pics of the Guy that came with her, ( I've just been calling her Red, for obvious reasons ^^; ) But, the quality is much the same... * Now, let's see if this posts, eh?*

Ah, yes, awesome links in the posts. Thanks lots. I think Red needs something closer to Real hair instead of the Gel look. *and an AK, too! ^^; *

If "Red" was in my "salon" I would Dremel the gel look into oblivion, slap a lump of Super Sculpy on her G.I. Jane head, let it set-up for about an hour, remove and give it a cook in the toaster oven to harden it a bit; then, give it some wind-blown styling with my knives and Dremel, give it a base coat and paint with a flat acrylic color . . . give her a "do" rag, some goggles, and a cravate to keep the bugs out of her teeth and let her ride . . .

Not a bad figure on its own, but the cheapo parts are a bit of a turnoff. Luckily, quality 1/6 accessories are abound, tons of it. You might wanna try switching the body for a TTL female body, or the more expensive (and latest) Hot Toys Female Truetype. My preorders for the latter arrived yesterday, and it has soft textures on its... heh. For femfig accessories, Triad Toys got lotsa nice ones.

Do refer to the post that bookindian put in his comments (yeah, those are my 1/6 figs) and look in the comments for links to various 1/6 shops.

PS: Do you know where can I find this figure? It doesn't look half-bad. Useful for a 1/6 kitbasher like me.

I got her at the same liquidation store as the Indian, lots of closeouts of soldiers, police and firemen/women. *sold in pairs*. Accessories included separate blister-packs of weapons, tools, etc. Sadly, the liquidation store has been gone for a few years now. I'm seriously considering bookindian's idea of the supersculpey/dremel mod, but I want another head/hair for back-up in case I spork the whole thing into oblivion! I appreciate the help 'n suggestions, guys, and I'll update soon. Thanks!
