Malaysia: Little Akiba / The Figure Mall
Ever wonder where to get ur non-bootleg nendo/figma and otaku goods? Well, I have travelled all over Kuala Lumpur and nearly died after visiting nearly 8 shops with all bootleg goods. Then at Comic Fiesta 2009, I found a booth giving me a card .. and it was a familiar one .. coz i remembered that DC member, Solomon Wise Freeman saying the words to me.
The keywords were Little Akiba and TheFigureMall (http://www.thefiguremall.com/)! This shop was still recovering from Comic Fiesta 2009, but even without stock .. the environment and the people running it were really wonderful and friendly!

I wish we had places like that here. Barely anywhere in the whole country sells these kinds of things and some that do seem quite "get in, pay our marked-up prices, then get out" sort of shops. ^^;

Wow, I oftenly visited the place for a meal with my buddies in Asia Cafe and never realize that there's a wonderful small haven that I have missed during all those trips there 8D

Door's right here to Little Akiba. West of Sunway Pyramid, about 15 minute walk.
Little Akiba, one of the best places in KL, and in Subang Jaya.
Run by two great managers.

Saw these in my local Japanese supermarket for some time before the 2nd Rebuild movie aired in cinemas. Was very tempted to buy them many times. Maybe I was crazy, but I ended up not buying them.
Inter-Cultural Language School - Went to a study in Japan seminar earlier and they were there too.
Makes you wonder whether they located themselves next to TheFigureMall and not vice versa: All the better to lure more newly converted otakus to Japan.
