PG Strike Rouge vs. PG GP01

Posted by senseij [www]

Hello all,

I posted a post here awhile ago asking a question about the PG Wing Custom Zero, and was about to buy it today. Upon inspection of the pieces (which Im uber glad I did) I noticed an entire runner was missing. Even missing one piece = KO so that was out of the question sadly. I go about looking for more and came across a PG Strike Rouge and PG GP01. Strike Rouge is basically the same thing as Strike just with a few diff. shades of pink and the Aile Striker and Sky Grasper already included. But GP01 really caught my eye from Danny's tutorial. The box is massive and it weighs a ton for a model. But it seems like an older one so I was wondering if it had the same flaws as Wing Zero. Can anyone share some insight in regards to this particular kit ? How was the wiring for the LEd ? Are the parts frail like Wing's ? Ill be picking either of these tomorrow so Id appreciate the answers :]

Articulation-wise, Strike Rouge is better. Though you might want to check

i have the original Strike, its pretty solid but more pieces for plating than the GP01 which comes in giant pieces.

Articulation on the Strike is better than the GP01 and being a Rouge and having the Skygrapser. ide take the Rogue...XD

    i love Rouge XD

I, personally, like 00 Riser more. It is next on my list after PG Skygrasper.

It really comes down to your personal taste in the end. The GP01 is older and less articulate but it is an iconic Gundam whereas the Rouge is a throwaway Strike with better articulation. Of course, you won't really get to pose either of them much considering they're both gigantic and space junkies.

the GP03 would experience great weight issues and consumer complaints.
        XD

your lucky, I don't have the funds or time to construct a PG. (High School > . <)

PG Dendrobium? That's be the best car-sized gunpla EVER. If I recall, the HG Dendrobium was a 1/550-scale. 1/144 would already be too big.

Nope, HGUC Dendrobium is 1/144 scale, and it's length is 1m. 1/550 one is HG Mechanics

accentualy after some calculations the dimensions of a PG dendrobium would be :233CM long , 64CM tall and 103 CM wide sooooo id say as long as a medium size truck (due largely to that freaking huge cannon) tall as a average persons knee hight and as wide as a fridge maybe so not car size(well maybe the length of a car xD) but rather the size of a mini fridge(turned sideways) excluding the giant cannon of course

I have the Strike, Strike Rouge, and the Wing Zero....but not the GP01. I love the Strikes, but can't get the damn lights to go into the head unit, haha! As for the Wing Zero...I thought it was crap! What's worse, I bought the Pearl Mirror finished one. So spent quite a bit more for it.

The best PG so far is Strike and its variants like Rouge and Red Frame...

PG01 is cool because of its "cast-offs"! XD

i disagree i would have to say that the GP01 is indeed the best perfect grade made to date maybe the articulation isent the best but it still a fantastic kit

the best PG's are MKII, GP01 and Strike Freedom ( i chose SF beacuse unlike Strike and Red frame he can keep mutch better the poses because of the ratchet joints), worst Wing Zero Custom and 00Raiser

I have both kits. GP01 will be more detailed in the sense that it is a UC Mobile Suit and is designed/engineered to be more realistic. The Strike will have better engineering overall as it is a newer kit but will lack all the details of a UC Mobile Suit as AU MS's tend to be more flashy and have different objectives. Which ever you choose you will enjoy, so just buy the one you like most.

Screw the articulation, PGs looks menacing even when standing.. Get the GP01

The wiring on both are really simple. Since it's only the eyes which light up, all the stuff is stored in the head. No wires to worry about. You just need to make sure the metal parts come into contact with eachother.

And out of the 2, the Strike is more aesthetically pleasing, but the GP01 gives you parts for both forms and a frame to hold it in. And, personally, I have a massive soft spot for the GP01

Yea come to think of it, I already have quite a few forms of strike. MG Aile strike, PG strike, MG Strike rouge clear color, and Strike noir, MG Strike Freedom, and MG Freedom. Although the last two arent really Strike. I just kinda wanted an Aile Striker for my PG strike. But I guess Ill be getting GP01 since I dont really care about extreme articulation.

If you already have the PG strike, then I would say get the GP01, just for a different change of pace. It's hard to build the same kit a second (or 3rd) time and even more so when it's a PG!

I'd go for the PG GP01, because 1 its harder to come by, 2 its got tons of extra accessories, 3 its a classic, and 4 its not pink.
