Perfect Grade Gundam Aile Striker Jetpack Modelling

This is my second attempt at modelling Gundam, the first being this RX-78 One Year War MG build.

An extremely detailed project log with many modelling tips may be found on my blog.

Parts painted in Gundam red, drying on Satay sticks in a block of packing foam, that came with my, now dead, PowerMac G5 ^^ Mmm, even useful after death :o

Parts carefully removed after drying and stored in a clean part-box. I wore surgical gloves throughout as I did not want to disturb the paint job.

Looks stunning, even if I say so myself. I opted not to Sumi Ire this PG accessory.

Perfect paint job; that's an aileron tilted upwards. The ailerons won't work in space though, since motion in space is only possible due to Newton's third law ("every action, has an equal and opposite reaction")...

Used some masking techniques to touch up nip marks here.

Hope you enjoyed the build!

Cheers,
Michael.

Using matt finish always give satisfactory results. Love the aileron pic. Nice work!
