An Expensive Day

It's New Years Eve, and I had an expensive day of it.
First, I went to the bank and deposited $1,590.00 CDN in CHANGE. (heavy!) :)
Second, Went to the store and dropped $621.46 CDN for a Sony A330 and 4 gig SD card. (taxes included)
Third. I stopped into my anime store and found out they had Hoi Hoi-san in. ($68.00 with tax and 2 Domo-kun's)
Fourth, stopped in another anime store on the way home and they had Figma Miyuki in stock ($56.49 w/tax)

Nice part of with the alpha, Sony bought out Minolta/Konika (sp?) camera division, so the lenses from my Maxim 7000 will work with the a330. The kit lens is a 18-55, and I have a 28mm wide angle and a 35-105 zoom already. The flash unit won't fit the alpha, but I'm going to try to find a remote trigger for it.

I didn't notice it in the store, but the lens and super-structure of the camera is a copper finish.

That does include 14% sales tax, but yeah, the Figma's, Frauleins, and such are getting ridiculously priced in this part of the world. (when you can even _get_ the figure!) <sigh>

Yep! Actually, it breaks down like this:
$1000.00 in "Toonies" (2 dollar coins in $50 rolls)
$350.00 in "Loonies" (1 dollar coins in $25 rolls)
$240.00 in Quarters ($10 dollar rolls)

I didn't bother with the nickels and dimes and pennies this trip. :)
Thats what I collected since this time last year.

No, this was very planned. (though I wasn't expecting Hoihoi-san to show up today)
I'm waiting for the battery to fully charge before I take some pics. Planing to do a comparison on image quality between the Kodak 7mp point and shoot and the 10.2 DSLR in a later post, like my image armoury.. :)

    Nice shopping!

I too took some coins to my bank the other day but I didn't have anywhere close to what you got~ Luckily, they have a coin counting machine in the bank so I just dump everything in it~

The box is big, but she's not so much. Maybe 7-8" tall in total.
